Whilst waiting for the Chinese to arrive, I loaded up YouTube on the TV. The first video appearing on the homepage was the 'anything you can carry' video that I was in. I watched Jimmy's face as it turned into a smug grin, I quickly went past the video, going further down the page, and I looked at him to gauge his reaction. He looked a little confused, "You not going to watch it?" He asked, and I shook my head. "Nah, I've heard things about MrBeast, apparently his videos are terrible." I told him, trying my absolute best to keep a straight face, but he just smiled, "Nah, not MrBeast, I've heard that the girl in that video is a total knob though." He winked, and I burst out laughing. "Of course I want to watch it." I said, pushing him slightly due to his witty comeback. He just smiled down at me as I pressed play on the video.
I was facing towards the TV, but I could've sworn that Jimmy's gaze was fixed on me the whole time it was on. I couldn't be too sure, but I didn't want to check in case I was wrong, because then I'd look weird. Jimmy and his friends looked so happy in the video, and it was nice knowing that I would now be a part of it all. As soon as they entered the store, Chris made a beeline towards the electronics. "He certainly knows how to spend my money." Jimmy commented beside me, the way he said it had no indication of annoyance, which really made me think that Jimmy did just like making people happy. "He's certainly better at it than me." I told him, laughing a little. "I'll give you some tips so you can beat him when it's your turn." I looked up at him and shook my head, "Knowing me I'd just drop everything. See?!" I exclaimed, pointing at the TV just as Tareq span the camera to me on the floor. "I'm so sorry!" Tareq shouted in the video. Jimmy just laughed, quickly fumbling to get his phone out of his pocket. I carried on watching as on-screen-Jimmy convinced me to let him buy me something. The edits going back and forth, between Chris struggling with the load of shopping, and Jimmy persuading me to let him be nice. "To think you've gone from saying no to everything, to begging me to get you takeout." Jimmy said, rather casually, trying to keep a straight face, but failing, a smile being lit up by the light from his phone. "Hey, as long as food's involved, I'll move mountains." I told him, trying my best to come off like I was joking, but it was hard, seeing as the statement was 100% true.
The video ended, and Jimmy looked up at me, "Here." He said, handing me his phone. "There's a couple of shitty ones, but I wanted you to see this". I took the phone out of his hands, reading a couple of bits off the screen. "That girl is soooo nice! If I was her I'd take the biggest fucking TV and $100". I laughed, realizing that I was in the comments section to the video we'd just watched. "I don't even know who this girl is and I reckon she could beat Chandler in a challenge." Jimmy practically snorted, reading the comments over my shoulder. "We should put that to the test." He said, and I nodded my head, "Bring it on". I scrolled down a little more, rifling through some shitty comments, and some general ones about the video, until I came across one that made me giggle. "What?" Jimmy asked, a puzzled expression on his face. I just smiled at him, blocking the phone from his view, still laughing slightly. "You don't want to know." I told him, "Oh I think I do." He reached out to take the phone, looking very amused, until he read the comment, then his cheeks started going slightly red. I leaned to look at the phone screen again, reading the comment out loud to him, for added fun, "Ouch! Straight up got slammed to the floor! Jimmy's looking at her like he wants to kiss her ass better - among other things. I know I would. HOT" I giggled, Jimmy just looked at me, still blushing, but I pretended not to notice.
And as if by magic, the buzzer rang. "Saved by the bell", I joked at Jimmy, as he jumped up to answer the door. He pushed the button to open allow the delivery driver inside, and stood by the entrance to my apartment, still struggling over words to say. "I know it's a joke, Jimmy, don't worry." I sarcastically rolled my eyes at him, as I saw the relief flow through his body. "I mean, at least by me dinner first." I added. Without even a millisecond of hesitation, he said, "Already have." and winked. Now that, sent shivers down my spine. "I'm joking!" He added, laughing as I made the exact same expression as he did just seconds before. "And on that note, I'm going to grab some plates." I chuckled, sorting through the kitchen cupboards as Jimmy greeted the delivery driver. On the walk back over to the coffee table, I saw Jimmy hand the driver at least $300. Why is he so god damn sweet?!
"Fuck me." I exclaimed, as Jimmy laid box after box of food on the table in front of us. "I may be fat, but you're going to have to bring your A-game if we're going to even make a dent in this." Jimmy chuckled, as he sat next to me, putting food on both of the plates. "Shush, you're not fat." He told me, "But I am.", and with that he grabbed a spring roll and shoved the entire thing in his mouth. I laughed, wondering how it was possible to be attracted to him, even when beansprouts and pastry were falling out of his mouth. I could see he regretted doing that, as a couple of seconds later, he covered face with both of his hands and chewed even quicker. "Putting me to shame, Jimmy." I told him, grabbing my own spring roll, and taking a huge bite out of it.
