A/N: As a Christmas present to you all, I will be uploading the next three chapters on Christmas Day. Happy holidays to each and every one of you, and thank you all so much for reading my story!
After my strange encounter with Chandler, I made my way over to Jimmy and the group. "So where are we going?" I asked. Jimmy rubbed his hands together, "We are going to..." I waited in anticipation to hear what he was going to say next, but when I looked at him he seemed to have puzzlement written all over his face. "You don't know, do you?" I chuckled. He shook his head, "No clue. Any ideas?" he asked, "We could go back to your place." Chandler said, nudging my shoulder as he walked beside me. I found my eyes rolling as I think I'd picked up on what Chandler was trying to do. I stayed silent, waiting for what Jimmy would reply to him, I didn't want him thinking that that's exactly what I wanted to do. "Takeout and movies?" He asked, grinning at Chandler over the top of my head. "Not much of a video editing celebration though, is it?" He added. "Movies are edited." Chandler said, a hint of disappointment in his voice. "I'm down for movies." I said, and Chandler's face lit up. "I think I've got some more champagne if we're having to turn it into a celebration." Jimmy told us, "Or maybe just beer." I chuckled at him, "Beer, takeout and movies sounds amazing".
At that moment Bailey and Jake caught up to us, "Hey Jimmy, I've got to go and see my mom, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to cancel." Bailey told him, glancing at me a couple of times as he spoke, almost as if he was trying to see my reaction. "That's okay man, another time." Jimmy replied, "Say hi to your mom for me." He said, winking quite obviously at him. Pfft, boys. "What about you, Jake?" He asked, "I'm good, mind if I get a lift though?" He asked, and Jimmy nodded, "Sure, but you're getting an Uber home." He chuckled.
We reached the car and Jimmy opened the passenger side door, gesturing for me to get in. I grinned at him, "Thank you." I said as I stepped into the car, he just responded with a really gorgeous smile. "Hey! She didn't call shotgun." Chandler shouted as he jumped in the backseat, Jake playfully hit him on the arm, "Neither did you." I silently giggled to myself, yet again appreciating the new route that my life had taken. Jimmy got in the drivers side, and started the engine. He flashed me another one of his cute smiles, before we took off.
"So what kind of movie were you guys wanting to watch?" Jimmy asked. "Horror!" Chandler shouted from the backseat, causing me to be a little surprised. He was most definitely the last person I would expect to be a fan of horrors, he seemed so innocent and full of childish wonder. "Second that." Jake said, Chandler giving him a high five. Jimmy chuckled, and I'm sure he would've rolled his eyes if he weren't driving. "What about you Y/N?" He asked, I looked at him, smiling towards the road as he spoke, but with a slight bit of worry laced in his voice. "You're going to hate me", I said, "But a horror sounds great". My suspicions were correct, as Jimmy sarcastically groaned. "God damn it!" He said. "As long as we can leave the lights on." He joked.
We pulled up at Jimmy's, the street still looking absolutely gorgeous, even though the sun was beginning to set, and causing the sky to look dull and grey. The flowers surrounding the front of the house were still bright and vibrant, and the white walls of the house reflected all the remaining light, making it stand out. "Get out of my car, dickheads." Jimmy joked, unbuckling his seat belt, "Rude." I said, jumping out of the car. Chandler and Jake rushed towards Jimmy's house, as if they couldn't wait to get inside. It was rather cold, so I really couldn't blame them. I started to regret taking my jumper off earlier, a shiver overcame my body. "You cold?" Jimmy asked, appearing by my side. "Nah I'm boiling." I told him, "Obviously." I winked. He chuckled at me, "Shush you, let's get you inside".
Chandler and Jake rushed into the house, kicking their shoes off behind them, and made their way to the kitchen. I looked up at Jimmy, who looked almost as confused as I was. He made eye contact with me, and just shrugged his shoulders. "BEERS!" Jake shouted, as they appeared back in the hallway, both with a four pack in their hand. "And treats." Chandler added, showing off a box of froot loops, that he was just grabbing handfuls of, and stuffing them in his mouth. "Chandler, you better hoover up after yourself." Jimmy told him, and I giggled, watching the crumbs fall out of his mouth and onto the soft carpet. I made a mental note to avoid that area later.
Jake and Chandler collapsed on the sofa, taking up almost half of it, and sitting on top of the blanket that I had missed since this morning. I tried not to sigh as I realized my hopes of being surrounded by the soft blanket, were being blocked by two sweaty boys and hundreds of cereal crumbs. Jimmy came to sit next to me, on the corner bit of the sofa. He was sat up at first, to turn the TV on, and then almost immediately, leaned back as far as he could, and put his feet up. The divot he'd created in the couch almost pulled me in, and I stiffened up so I didn't rest on Jimmy's shoulder. The muscles in my side were hurting almost immediately, I was going to have to adjust the way I was sitting, but I didn't want Jimmy to think that I was moving away from him.
"What are we watching then?" Jimmy asked, I saw Chandler shrug out of the corner of my eye, which caused Jimmy to start reading out the synopsis for every horror film he found on Netflix. This went on for a few minutes, until Jake started reading out different takeout options from his phone. Chandler said no to almost every film, and almost every restaurant. I took this in depth discussion as an opportunity to shift myself. I pulled myself up a little bit, straightened up, and then relaxed again. Leaning back into the cushions of the sofa, and shimmying a bit, until I felt comfortable. I put my head back, nestling myself into the dip I found, realizing almost immediately, that whatever I'd put my head on was warm, and was also moving up and down ever so slightly. My eyes darted to the left, as far as they could go, without having to move my head. The movements matched Jimmy's breathing perfectly. This wasn't a cushion, this was Jimmy's shoulder. And he wasn't pulling away.
