A/N, the next couple chapters are going to be set during his '24 Hours in a City with No Laws' video, and as much as it pains me to say it, the story will end at Chapter 45. However, on the day I post the last chapter for this one, I will post the first chapter for my next story. It will be called 'Retribution', and it will be a Dean Winchester x Reader fic, set in season 4 of Supernatural. If that interests any of you, I hope it'll give you something to look forward to!
Jimmy and I spent the next hour sat at the table, talking about what our next moves were going to be in terms of moving me out of my apartment. The most important thing was where I was going to stay when I was here, and as unfortunate as it was, we both decided that the spare room would be perfect. Not only would it give me my own space, but it would allow us both to continue our relationship - if you could even call it that - at our own pace.
I really appreciated how sweet Jimmy was being throughout our conversation, he held my hand the whole time, and his smile never faltered. "So are we really doing this?" He asked, his smile growing even wider. I nodded my head, unable to control how entirely happy I was with everything in my life right now. I stood up and walked over to Jimmy, pulling on his arm to let him know I wanted him to stand up. He seemed to catch my drift, as he stood up and pulled me into a warm hug. "Thank you." I said, my voice muffled against his chest. He leaned down and kissed my head, "You just make me so happy." He said, causing me to feel weak at the knees.
We spent the next half an hour trying to find me something to wear that would look moderately presentable in public. After pulling out a few pairs of shorts/pants that were all way too big for me, we decided it was best to just wear the dress I arrived in. Jimmy left the room when I got changed, which only reminded me how much of a gentleman he is. I couldn't help but notice how strange I looked all dressed up without any make-up.
"You ready to go?" I asked him as I stepped out of his bedroom. He nodded, looking me up and down in a way that he thought of as subtle. "Ready when you are, beautiful." I smiled at him, not even bothering to hide how happy his comments made me.
We both got into Jimmy's car, and started the drive to my apartment, making easy flowing conversation the entire time. This was no different than usual, however this time, Jimmy was openly flirting with me, and held my hand almost the entire journey. It made me happy having someone showing me actual, genuine affection for once, and I couldn't imagine being upset about anything ever again. I felt like I'd reached a new part of my life, and I didn't want anything to change.
A little sooner than I would've liked, we pulled up outside my dreary building, now with a huge red laminated note attached to the main door. Not that I cared anymore, it could have been demolished already, and I wouldn't have cared. Jimmy exited the car, and made his way over to my door, opening it for me. "Thank you." I smiled, pulling down my dress as I stood on the sidewalk. I noticed Jimmy looking at me in the reflection of the window, but I pretended not to notice. He took my hand and we walked up to the building.
"So what sort of things do I need to pack?" I asked Jimmy, we had not really been briefed on this place at all, and all I'd done is have a brief google during one of my lunch breaks. "Probably just a change of clothes. I think Chandler's taking a bunch of snacks though, even though I told him I'm bringing enough food for all of us." He chuckled, "Oh, and I'd bring a hat if you've got one, we're going to be in the middle of a desert and you don't want to get sunburned." He added, giving my hand a squeeze just as we got to the door to my apartment. "Aren't you so sweet worrying about my skin." I said in an attempt to either be funny, or flirtatious, but not quite coming across as either.
"You gonna help me pick out some clothes?" I asked, and Jimmy's eyebrows raised, highlighting to me that I just invited him into my bedroom. "Ugh, typical boy." I laughed, "Do you want me to bring my clothes out here? Or are you going to behave yourself?" I asked, my voice full of sarcasm so he knew I was joking. "I'll behave myself." He said, pulling a mock sad face before following behind me.
I opened up my closet, which was now mostly full of the shirts and hoodies that Jimmy had given me. "I like it." He smiled widely, pulling at a shirt and admiring the big "MrBeast" written across the front. "Of course you would." I smiled, nudging him with my elbow. "What can I say? They look hot on you." He said, looking me up and down again, a little less subtly than before. "I thought I said behave." I laughed, "I was going to pack a couple of them anyway, but now I don't know if I want to." I joked, pulling at an old plain black shirt with some crap design on it. He feigned shock, and put his hand to his heart as his jaw dropped. "How dare you." He said, as I jokingly punched his arm.
"I was going to say, seeing as we're going to be clearing most of your stuff out anyway, did you want to grab a bunch of clothes and just bring them to mine?" Jimmy asked, his eyes full of hope as he scanned my face, "That way you don't have to stay here again. Unless you want to of course? I just didn't know if you would want to after what happened." He added. My eyes darted towards the bathroom door, reminding myself of not even 24 hours ago, in which I was cowering in the room, away from that disgusting man. "That would be perfect." I said, hugging Jimmy tightly, "Just for that, I will wear your merchandise." I leaned back in his arms and kissed him, his hand almost immediately finding itself tangled in my hair as his other hand rested on my back, pulling me closer.
