In the Capital City. Sitting together at a restaurant table by a window, Archer and Lady Diane were sitting across the opposite ends of a wooden table from each other. The restaurant they were sitting in had dim lighting, and was filled with people sitting at various wooden chairs and tables scattered across the dining room. Waitresses, dressed in black vests and black pants, with white buttoned up shirts were walking by and serving drinks and food. Archer and Lady Diane were were both wearing the best outfits they could find, trying to impress the other. Archer was wearing a black suit jacket and black pants, with a white undershirt with a sage colored tie attached. Lady Diane was wearing a grey blazer over a green sweater. She was wearing a green colored skirt darker than her sweater, and was wearing black knee length socks with black boots. Around her neck, she was wearing a gold chain with a symbol of House Diane attached. As the two of them were laughing, a waiter came by and placed two glass drinks filled with red substances on the table.
"I'm just saying Mordred. I really didn't expect anything like this to occur after what happened with Chaplain Hemlock. Never in a million years would I have guessed, that the girl who pretended to be helpless, pretended that she was about to be raped, but turned out to be some Lady of a powerful House, was the girl who I would be taking on a date months later. Crazy how the world works. Honestly, I thought I would never see you ever again," Archer explained.
Lady Diane nodded her head as she smiled. She picked up the glass filled with the red substance close to her, and she started to drink out of it.
"Agreed Archer. I will say that it was an odd thing to come around, to meet in a cave of a Cult hell bent on destroying the entire Kingdom--"
"Saying that they were Hell bent doesn't do them justice," Archer interjected.
"But, I always thought that I'd see you again at some point. While I didn't know what the Inquisition was at the time, I knew from you being a member of House Odin that you were important and that at some point I'd run into you again. But, I don't think I ever expected that you would be my first ever boyfriend..." Lady Diane then put her drink down onto the table. "But, I'm glad that it turned out the way it has. Despite all the circumstances, I'm glad where the two of us are at right now."
"Agreed. We might have to thank Jingks for that. If he didn't push you into doing that fake boyfriend stuff...then we might've been unable to reach this point," Archer explained.
Lady Diane chuckled when Archer mentioned thanking Jingks, but she nodded her head and agreed with him.
"We do have to thank him for this. Even though he pushed back this date when we had it planned for earlier in the week--"
"He's still an asshat for that one," Archer interjected.
"We do need to thank him. He's ended up being a supporter of our relationship, and that's not to say that any of the other Inquisitors have not been supporting us," she explained.
Archer nodded his head and agreed. He picked up the glass of the red substance close to him, and he took a quick sip out of the glass before putting it back down.
"Yeah, they've all been very supportive of our relationship. Which I'm thankful for. They easily could've given me hell for my relationship with you, and could've given you hell as well. But, they haven't nor does it seem like they will."
"Yeah," Lady Diane then stretched out her hands together over the table. She started speaking again after they were put back at her side. "I'm very thankful though that we finally were able to do this after all this time. It seems like we have been waiting for forever, just to have this simple, relaxing, and calm date with each other," she replied.
