It was now night time, and Alexon with Messiah were both standing near the door of the Dragon temple. Alexon was standing directly in front of the door. Using his open left hand, he was analyzing the blue barrier that acted as a door that was stopping them from entering the temple. Alexon's eyes are squinted, as he is being careful with the barrier. At the same time, Messiah was standing by the steps to the temple. He had his hands resting at his sides, maintaining watch over the area. He sighed, as he started to become bored with just standing there with nothing going on.
"Hey Alexon--"
"Yes Messiah?"
"Paladin mentioned to me before, that you were angry during some Seatrials that you and the others went through? Before coming to the Island of Reach?"
Alexon nodded his head as he continued to use his left hand, still analyzing what the barrier of the door was.
"At the time, I was mad over a woman being killed."
"Ohhhh...well then. I don't fault you for being mad, but what was the woman to you?" Messiah asked.
"I don't know to be honest. Looking back on it, I may have felt differently back then. But, I believe I was more pissed off that she sacrificed her life so I could live a few more weeks. Being so helpful towards me, when I didn't even give anything in return."
Messiah nodded his head, as he listened to Alexon explain why he was angry.
"How did she die?"
"The King of Atlantis gave her two options. Head into the Seatrials and be mauled to death essentially, or wait but I would instead be killed. Obviously, she picked the Seatrials, and obviously she was mauled to death."
"Well..that is honestly a shame, even though it benefited us. I would've been extremely mad as well, if something like that happened to me. I would've killed the man, who essentially ordered her to death. Did you kill the person that did you dirty?" Messiah asked.
"Nope, the man is still alive. I didn't get the opportunity to kill the King, because of the circumstances surrounding. But, while we were leaving Atlantis, we did embarrass him in front of his own city," Alexon explained.
"Oh. Well, how did you embarrass him in front of his own city?"
"We held him as a hostage, and paraded him through the streets as we moved to our ship we were using to leave. His entire army made of knights were unable to do anything, and they were completely embarrassed. Best part of the kidnapping, was when we made him a hostage literally right in front of his own guards, that were only a few feet away."
"Well damn...that is some poor guarding," Messiah replied.
"Indeed."
The two then became quiet, as they had reached the end of the conversation. Alexon didn't mind as he was still focused on the blue barrier. However, Messiah was bothered as his other method of passing the time was looking up at the sky, and counting the stars. He then sighed, and he kicked a rock on top of the steps.
"Sooo...Alexon--"
"Yes?"
"What are your thoughts on Archer and Lady Diane's relationship? The two of them seem to work well together, and they seem to be very fond of each other," Messiah explained.
Alexon nodded his head, agreeing with what Messiah said.
"Agreed. I think the two of them have a solid foundation of a true relationship. The foundation of course being built by real feelings, and real honest emotions for each other. I think it is also good for Archer, to finally move on from the past failures," Alexon explained.
