At the head of the army composed of both House Athena soldiers and the Wolves. Messiah is marching forward, with Lady Athena on his left, and Ashley on his right. They were marching down a snow-covered road, with thick snow-blanketed forests standing tall on both sides of the road. Messiah looked at both Lady Athena and Ashley, and he could feel the tension between the two of them. It was very obvious to him, the events at the Royal Gallery had yet to be cleared up. If it came down to one of them needing to rescue the other, it was likely that a rescue wouldn't happen. Knowing this, Messiah loudly cleared his throat.
"So Lady Athena..."
Lady Athena turned to look at Messiah.
"What is it Messiah?"
"Out of curiosity, how experienced are your House Athena soldiers? I've yet to see them in combat, so I'm curious about whether they'll impress or whether they'll disappoint me."
Lady Athena shook her head.
"My House Athena soldiers are experienced in many forms of combat, and I can say proudly they are the most experienced soldiers from the continent of Orion."
Messiah nodded his head.
"I see... I see.. however, Lady Athena, are they properly experienced?"
"Of course they are. House Athena soldiers have participated in many battles, many wars over the years. Not only that, but House Athena has a specific combat doctrine that is followed that dates back to the times of Augustus Cesar, where time and time again it has shown to be useful and effective."
"Hmmm... well I'd agree with you then. It does seem like the House Athena soldiers are properly trained, and have garnered the proper combat experience over the years. Combat experience, that the New Dawn is lacking at the moment."
Lady Athena nodded her head and turned back.
"I believe the New Dawn will gain proper combat experience, especially with Vohom Highclere at the helm. Also Messiah, you cannot expect the New Dawn to be as effective as the House Athena soldiers yet. That was their first battle ever, and this war they'll be participating in will be their first war ever."
"Fair enough, but I'd like to see them end up like the House Athena soldiers. A well trained, well equipped, well organized, with tons of combat experience. A gold standard, that House Athena have seemingly set--"
"Thank you."
"Onto the next thing I wanted to mention. Lady Athena, how have you been doing since the events at the Royal Gallery?"
As Messiah mentions the Royal Gallery, Ashley hears him but shows no reaction. Lady Athena sighs and shakes her head.
"I've been doing good... mostly."
"Why mostly?"
"Well... Paladin was threatened."
"Paladin was threatened?"
"Yes."
Messiah scratched the back of his head.
"What was he threatened about?"
Lady Athena turned to look at Ashley, she watched as Ashley continued to look forward without saying anything. She then looked back forward.
"For the sake of not starting any arguments, I'm not going to go into the details of what he was threatened about and who threatened him. However, I'm still very much pissed off at Lord Benevolent. He went too far, and he should've ended up in prison for what he did. Forcing himself down on me, and stealing a kiss from my lips. He's lucky I wasn't able to use any fire magic to burn him alive."
