Chapter 167: Inquisitorial Covenant

Aerro is thrown back by the Majestic blast. He attempts to gain control of flight back, but as he does Paladin leaps forward. While he wasn't at first paying attention to Paladin, he was able to see Paladin in the corner of his eye, his golden blade grabbing his attention. When he turned to look at Paladin, he saw the golden blade of Excalibur, being swung at him and the sharp blade coming closer and closer. Aerro attempts to push himself back, but as he does the tip of Excalibur's golden blade grazes alongside his chest plate. The golden tip of Excalibur scratching down the chest plate, creating a long scratch as the tip of the golden blade grazed along the black chest plate. As Paladin and Aerro both land back on the ground, they both look at each other. Both of them breathe heavily, as they were using much of their energy in the fight.

"Well Paladin--"

Delta then dived down from the sky, Aerro immediately looks up and is able to see the Dragon. Aerro is unable to retaliate against the Dragon for what it did before, and instead he quickly drops Chaos Maker, then he puts up a XShield. As the green flames come down, they are launched all at the front of the XShield. Being absorbed into the void, when they directly hit.

This is going to be a really daunting task. Dealing with this damn Dragon, and then Paladin at the same time isn't easy. I can't defend against both with my limitations defensively.

As Delta flew over, Paladin charged at Aerro. Aerro sees Paladin, and in response to Paladin he lowers the XShield and makes an incomplete black void sword appear in his right hand.

"Your aggressiveness Paladin isn't going to work!"

Aerro throws the black void sword at Paladin, the sword coming for Paladin head on. Paladin notices while looking at the sword, that sword is already midway through being destroyed. Aerro smirks, while Paladin grinds to a halt. Immediately putting up his left hand, and putting up a Majestic Bubbleshield to defend himself. The bubbleshield absorbs the impact of the sword's blast, protecting Paladin from feeling anything or getting any residue on his face. Paladin looks back at Aerro, and he notices that Aerro put some distance between the two of them. He watched as Aerro sheathed Chaos Maker, and pulled out Lucifer's Bow again.

"Range is your weakness, so I'll abuse it."

"Blessing of Odin, Eagle Vision!"

Paladin drops the Majestic Bubbleshield and he charges forward at Aerro. Because of Eagle vision, as he charges forward his eyes both glow gold. In response, Aerro sights Lucifer's Bow at Paladin. Immediately shooting black arrows at Paladin left and right. The black arrows coming out so quickly, one would think it was a machine gun shooting arrows at Paladin. As the black arrows fly at Paladin, Paladin dodges them. As he is able to see them clearly, and faster because of Eagle vision. The black arrows flying by him left and right, causing black explosions behind him, explosion that were destroying the ground. As Paladin starts getting closer and closer to him, Aerro squints his eyes and starts to read Paladin's movements.

Paladin is moving at a fast pace, an incredibly fast pace. He is able to see the black arrows and dodge them quickly, despite how fast they are flying towards him. He is able to dodge them, moving left or right of them everytime. However...he hasn't dodged any of my arrows that hit in front of him in this round yet.

Aerro changes up his strategy. He then sights the bow to a few feet in front of Paladin, and he shoots a black arrow at the ground. The black arrow being shot is timed perfectly, as it hits the ground Paladin is about to step near it. Paladin sees the black arrow however, and in response he jumps over the blast, while aiming his left hand at the ground.

"Blessing of Odin, Majestic Blast!"

Paladin lifts himself off the ground, making himself blast into the sky because of the golden winds from Majestic Blast. In doing so, he avoids the explosion caused by the arrow being impacted by the ground, but only barely. Paladin looks down at Aerro, and Aerro squints his eyes while looking up at Paladin. The two of their eyes lock with each other, only for a few moments. Aerro then quickly sights his bow at Paladin, and he fires a black arrow straight for Paladin. Paladin sees the black arrow coming for him, and he is unable to move out of the way. He then holds out his left hand, and he puts a golden windshield up. However, the black arrow flies back the golden windshield As Aerro didn't shoot the arrow directly at Paladin, but instead, he shot the arrow where he predicted Paladin would be in a few moments. Paladin realizes this, and he immediately responds by changing his defense strategy. He casts Wielded shield, and he holds up the shield in front of him. When the arrow hits, the shield absorbs the blow. However, the explosion causes Paladin to be thrown backwards in the sky. Paladin clenches his teeth as Aerro starts to further and further get away from him. Paladin turns around, and is about to use Majestic blast to push himself back. However, he quickly stops himself. He loses his grip on Excalibur, as he crashes hard into the rock wall. He then descended down until the wall until he crashed into the snow face first. As he crashed into the snow, Excalibur landed down next to him.
