Nothing good happens after 2 am

I used to believe that line from how I met your mother, na walang magandang mangyayari after 2 am. Kasi when einica called javi, it was around 2 am when he muttered the words that broke me. It was almost 2 am, when tyler broke up with me over the phone, the day before our wedding.

But right now, at 2 am, here I am, sitting in my bed, looking at javi who was sleeping, his curly hair a mess, and his face calm. Thinking what I did to deserve this? What good did I do para hayaan ako ni lord na matitigan si Javier Gomez de Liaño? A soft song playing sa bluetooth speaker, a song I didn't even know the title.

"you know that staring is rude" javi said, I smiled.

"yeah, but looking like that is a crime Mr. Gomez de Liaño" he pulled me in for a hug kaya napahiga ako.

"looking like what Ms. Santos?" he asked, rubbing my back.

"looking that handsome and breath taking." I answered, he smiled.

"xavienne" he whispered, I hummed and closed my eyes, wrapping my arms around him while he plays with my hair.

"wish we could stay like this forever" he said, ngumiti ako.

"then don't leave me again."

"alam mo sis, ewan ko sayo." andi said, taking a bite of her cake, I rolled my eyes.

"ayaw mo tanungin kung ano kayo, tapos gaganyan ka sakin." she said, I mocked her.

"ayoko magtanong kasi baka hindi pa ako ready sa sagot niya." I replied, taking a sip of my frappe, for some reason, naduduwal ako sa amoy ng kape.

"pero nagsesex kayo diba? Dun na nga halos nakatira sainyo si javi?" andi said, pinanlakihan ko siya ng mata, ang lakas kasi ng boses niya.

"oo and oo" sagot ko, andi smiled widely

"edi in a relationship kayo" andi answered, nagkibit balikat ako.

"hindi ko talaga alam." I answered, it was her turn to roll her eyes.

"you love javi so much na you're afraid to ask questions, mali yan xavie, kasi dapat pag mahal mo, comfortable ka mag-ask ng questions, dapat lahat kaya niyong pag-usapan" andi reasoned out, I nodded.

"we'll talk later, ikaw naman, how's the baby?" I asked andi, she smiled, placing a hand on her bump.

"eto, nahihirapan na matulog and inaaway ko lagi si tyler kasi gusto niya name nung baby, tiger, like no way!" she said, I laughed and nodded.

"I'm happy that he's ready." sabi ko bigla, smiling softly, kasi nung ako yung buntis, since bata pa kami, laging absent si tyler sa ultrasounds and appointments sa doctor.

"xavie," sabi ni andi, her voice serious but calm.

"thank you" sabi niya, I raised my eyebrows.

"because you help me a lot, I know na hindi ideal yung family ni xavier because of me, and I know maraming na miss si tyler na milestones ni xav before, but still thank you for being kind sa akin." she said tearing up, and when I saw her tearing up, I also teared up.

"ano ba yan andi, kaloka ka!" I said, wiping the tears, andi smiled, and I looked around us, mukha kaming tanga actually, our hands together and we were in tears while laughing.

"arte mo!" andi said, I rolled my eyes, while I wiped my tears with the tissue.

"hi tina!" bati ko kay tina when I saw her walk in the cafè, she smiled and show me a paper bag. Kumunot ang noo ko,

"ate, napansin ko po kasi na wala na kayong napkin sa office, I thought naubos niyo na, and I know na stressful po yung paglipat niyo, so nung bumili ako ng gatas, binilhan ko na rin po kayo." tina said, before excusing herself papasok sa office ko and the kitchen.

Nanlaki ang mata ko, Trying to remember if I even have napkin at home,

"sis, don't tell me hindi ka pa nagkakaroon?" andi asked, her eyes also as wide as mine.

Aligaga kong hinanap ang phone ko mula sa bag, I was supposed to have my period a week ago, I never miss my period.

"shit." sabi ko, andi looked at me,

"don't tell me na hindi na nagco-condom si javi ah" she said teasing me, pero mukhang namumutla na ata ako.

"hey, xavie." sabi ni andi, waving her hands in front of my face. I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"I'm fucked."
