Chloe and Charlie were at a bar for his 18th birthday. He was ecstatic because he was no longer confined to the hotel room while the other boys went out and partied. Now, Charlie never drank alcohol before, this was his first time so after his drink itself he became tipsy. He became wasted by the third drink. Chloe turned 18 a week back but she decided against drinking tonight because she was the designated driver for the night. Usually it was Barclay but tonight she decided he should enjoy with the rest of the boys. Chloe was sitting at the bar drinking her coke looking at everyone on the dance floor. She wasn’t much of a dancer so she stayed in the shadows during times like these. As she scanned the room searching for the boys she saw Tom was dancing with his girlfriend, Reece was chatting with some girl and Jake was also dancing with some girl who she had never seen before. She searched for Charlie but could not find him. She started to panic. What if he got hurt? She went to the dance floor searching the entire place. After five minutes she started to worry even more. As she was about to leave the club and go out to look for him she saw him talking to some girl. She sighed and walked towards him. As she got closer she saw Charlie’s facing getting closer to the girl. As they were about to kiss Chloe screamed, “CHARLIE WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?”

The club became silent. The music stopped and everyone was looking at her. Charlie saw her and he let go of the girl and pushed her back. Chloe started crying and ran out of the club. Charlie ran after her. She got into her car but before she could drive off Charlie got into the car on the passenger’s side.

“Chloe, I’m sorry,” he said. He was a bit sober now.

“YOU’RE SORRY?” Chloe said still crying, “CHARLIE IF I HADN’T STOPPED YOU GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU’LL WOULD HAVE BEEN DOING BY NOW AND ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS YOU’RE SORRY?”

“WHY ARE YOU MAKING A BIG DEAL OUT OF ALL THIS? NOTHING HAPPENED. I WAS DRUNK,” Charlie screamed.

Chloe took a few deep breaths and said, “Charlie that girl is prettier than me, she’s skinnier than me and could be way better than me. You could have left her for me. You didn’t kiss her. But maybe if you did you’d realize she’s WAY better for you than me.”

Charlie sighed and said, “No one is as good for me as you. I’m sorry I almost kissed her. But you are and always will be the one for me.”
