*Liv's POV*

It was not an unusual thing for Reece to mock me. I'm the school's shy girl and he's the popular boy. Everyday it was the same story. He would push me into the lockers, throw my books on the ground, lock me in the toilet, etc etc. There was not a single day when he would deprive me of this torture. I hated him for what he did to me. Basically, we both hate each other but I don't show it by trying to ruin his life because I'm not as corageous as he is.

Reece was not always like this. He used to be a nerd. But we were never friends. I have many friends even though I am a shy person, but Reece on the other hand did not. He was not noticed by anyone until he became friends with James, Jake and Casey the bad boys of the school. And that's when my bad days began. But one day he took it too far.

I was on a date with a really cute guy from my school whose name was Charlie(yes I am a shy girl but boys from my school -minus Reece and his friends- still like me a lot). We were having a picnic in a garden right in front of the school. Nobody knew we were there because we bunked classes. We were having a really great time when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, balloons filled with paint came flying in my direction. More than ten balloons hit me and by the time it stopped I was covered with paint from head to toe. I looked over at Charlie and he was laughing his head off.

"Sorry Liv" he said still laughing.

Why was he saying sorry??

Then I saw him. He came out from behind the trees with a video camera. Reece. I finally understood what was going on. I wad set up. This was all planned. I couldn't take it anymore. I was humiliated. Reece was probably going to show that video to the whole school. I started crying. Charlie stopped laughing and tried to comfort me. But I pushed him away. I never expected him to be a part of Reece's sick joke. I got up and ran. I ran until I reached home. Then I remembered that my parents are not at home and I forgot my keys. Great. So I sat on my front porch, crying.

After a few minutes I heard a car pull up in front of me. I looked up to see the terror of my life, Reece. What does he want?

He came up to me and asked, "Can I sit here?" pointing at the empty space next to me.

I didn't reply but he sat down anyway.

"I'm sorry" he said, "I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just trying to get your attention"

I scoffed and clenched my fists. How dare he say something like that after all I have been through?

"It's true" he said again, "You never noticed me when I was a nerd so I changed, became popular and started to bully you because I love you," and he kissed me.
