“I’m coming over,” James said to Jimena, his girlfriend of four months.
“Are you crazy? Its past midnight. You’ll get both of us into trouble, Jimena protested.
“But I want to see you,” he whined.
“You can see me tomorrow at school,” she said.
“I want to see you NOW babe,” James pleaded.
Jimena sighed and said, “Fine, come over if you want. But if you get caught don’t blame me.”
“See you in ten,” James said before he hung up.
Jimena sat patiently waiting for James. Twenty minutes passed and there was no sign of him. Jimena started to worry. It was not like James to be late. She tried to call him but his mobile was switched off. She waited for a while longer before she decided to go look for him. She was putting her shoes on when she heard a tap on her window. She drew the curtain open and saw James. She breathed a sigh of relief and unlocked the window to let him in.
“What took you so long?” she asked punching him in the chest.
”Sorry,” he said.
“But what took you so long?” she asked again.
“Ironically. I almost got caught. My parents were still awake so I had to wait till they went to sleep to sneak out. My mobile battery died so I couldn’t call you, sorry,” jams said.
Jimena laughed and said, “You deserved it. I told you we could get caught.”
James smirked and said, “Ok, if you don’t want to get caught ill just leave.”
He walked towards the window but Jimena hugged him from behind and stopped him and said, “No, I’m sorry please don’t go.”
Now it was James turn to laugh. He faced her and said “Don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere,” and he kissed her on her forehead.
They spent the rest of the night cuddling and talking about anything and everything before he finally left in the morning before her parents could wake up.
