"What part are you up to?" Luke asks as he pulls his copy of 'Looking For Alaska' off of the shelf above his desk.
"Uhh, one hundred and ten days before, I think" I reply quietly. Luke smiles, as if the sound of my voice was the most beautiful thing he's ever heard and starts flipping through the pages.
"Here, read" he says, handing me the open book.
"But, I-" I say in confusion, pulling myself up so I'm sitting against the headrest of Luke's bed.
"Read" he orders.
Reluctantly, I take the book from him and sit it in my lap with a sigh. The magnetic bookmark, roughly halfway in the centre of the book, shows me how far ahead of me Luke is with this book.
"Reading helps me relax, and you need to relax" he says calmly. He climbs onto the bed and lays out across my lap, I lift the book up to sit on his back.
"That actually makes it a lot easier to read" I chuckle.
"Glad I'm good for something" he laughs as he unlocks his phone.
"You literally just saved my life" I point out.
"I could have done it in a better way though, I practically begged you not to leave me" he says shamefully.
"It still worked" I mumble.
"I'm glad" he whispers.
I start to read from where I left off. Not long later, 'Cold Coffee' by Ed Sheeran starts playing though Luke's phone.
"Ed Sheeran & John Green books" Luke announces, "Are a beautiful combination".
"I have to agree" I mumble, before letting myself get sucked into the book.
The room had gone quiet for everything bar the sound of Ed Sheeran's heavenly voice and the occasionally sound of me turning a page in the book, when suddenly, I burst into laughter.
"What's so funny?" Luke asks in confusion, twisting his neck around so he can look up at me.
"This line" I gasp, trying to settle down a bit, "He'll eat you alive, shit you out and piss on his dump". Luke snorts in attempt to suppress his laughter.
"Not as funny as you made it out to be, but still funny" he chuckles.
"I just thought it was funny" I giggle, watching Luke as he rests his head against his crossed arms again.
"Gosh, I fell in love with an idiot" he says, and although I can't see his face, I can tell he's smiling like an idiot.
Then suddenly, I realise that, aside from saying it as my last words to him, I've never actually told him that I loved him... Only written it or implied it with a hug or facial expression.
"Luke" I choke out.
"Hmm?" He hums.
"I love you" I tell him. There's a moment of silence before Luke sits up so that we are face-to-face.
"I love you too" he whispers before kissing me gently.

Dear Stupid Diary,
So I'm still alive... Not quite sure wether I'm glad or not though...
I was actually seconds from falling to my death, when Luke saved me and pulled me back onto the bridge..
My mum was worried sick, but Luke had called to tell her that I was with him to calm her down... She doesn't know why I left the house though..
Instead of taking me home, Luke took me back to his place so we could just relax... He didn't want me under stress at school.
I lost count of how many times Luke just told me to talk today.. He didn't give a damn what I said, even if it was just "Shut up, Luke" he'd still smile, just happy to hear my voice again.
After school had finished, I got a text from Ashton, asking if I was okay. He quite literally squealed with excitement when I called him instead of just texted back.
"MICHAEL YOU CALLED DOES THIS MEAN YOURE TALKING AGAIN?!" He screamed in excitement. "Yes" I had laughed. "Oh thank god!" He sighed with relief. "Give it to me" I heard Calum say, "Let me hear it, let me hear that gorgeous voice". "Hey, Calum" I laughed, causing him to sigh in relief as well.
Luke had to drop me home not long after that, because my mum would be home from work and would probably be dying to see me... And she was... But she was soo happy to hear me talking again!
Anyway, my parents wanted to take me out for a special dinner tonight.. So I guess I better get off my arse and go have a shower.. Haha..
