Avery's Point of View
Ash walks around our room setting things up. She picks up a pocket knife and puts in her pocket.
"Ash... you don't need that." I say with a sigh and she shakes her head and puts some more dangerous things in her pocket.
"Really?!" She shouts and pulls things out of her bag looking at the bottom.
"What?!" I ask getting off of the bed and walking over to her.
"Those angels took my gun!" She says looking in her bag again.
"Wait you had a gun?" I ask and she stands up looking at me.
"Of course I had a gun Ave... Why would I not bring a gun to a place that went to war with my people. I have to protect yo-" She pauses and licks her lips. "I have to protect my people."
"Ash I understand... why didn't you tell me?" I ask and she looks away from me.
"You aren't the type of person that fancies a gun." She says kicking one of her shirt back into her bag. She then takes out her knife and feels how sharp it is. She nods. "It'll do."
"Didn't you take out 50 guards the first time I met you?" I ask as she walks over to the bed and takes her leather jacket off of it and puts it on over her hoodie.
"Yes and I could do it again if I needed to. But then we were in my home. And I wasn't freezing." She yells the last part and punches the wall. There is a small dent and she frowns and looks at her knuckles. "I could have broken that..." She says and I sigh
I walk over and grab her hand. I look at it and see only a small scratch. "Ash..." I whisper lightly.
"I'm sorry... I- I'm just stressed. I want to save Jacob." She says looking down at our hands.
"I know... why is he so important to you?" I ask lightly and she shakes her head.
"I-" We were cut off by Liam walking through the door way.
"He is here, so quit holding hands." He says then walks out. I let go of her hand and we walk out.
My father is standing there with plenty of guards. He has a stern look at me and Ash. I coward behind Ash a little.
"what did I hear about Holding hands?" My father asks and Ash is quick to respond.
"Your Daughter was checking my hand after I put a dent in your wall." Ash says putting her hands in her pocket.
"My... wall... that is made out of concrete?" My father asks a little concerned.
"Well... don't test me." She says with a slight smirk.
"Right... lets go..." He says and we follow him out the door and up a couple flights of stairs. Down a room. Through a set of doors, down a hall, through another set of doors and down the hall. We make it to this door and enter. We are in the infirmary.
(a/n: I just explained how to get to one of my classes in school, lol im original)
We walk over to a curtain and there is a young boy laying in the bed with an oxygen mask on. There is medicine by his side table. The heart monitor is beating steadily. Ash gets one look at him and pauses. She clenches her jaw and turns to my father who already had guards surrounding him with their guns point up.
Ash laughs, "those petty angels aren't going to safe you old man." Ash says pointing to My father and then running her hand through her red wavy hair. Her green emerald eyes look at me and then back at the boy. She walks over to him and takes his metical chart.
"Avery can you come and explain this to me." She says looking at the chart. She doesn't understand our medical words because they are different than theirs. That was for wars so no one knew what type of injuries soldiers had except the angels.
I walk over and take the chart. I read it in my head and the explain. "He had hyperthermia and then had a bruise rib. He slipped into a coma but the doctors are hoping he wakes up soon." I say and then look at Ash. She has her jaw clenched making her jaw look like it was (Cannibalisms... a/n: don't ask) a sharp knife.
She nods her head and turns to the guards. "Get that thing out of my face." She said hitting the guards gun out of his hands. His face was shocked. Liam and Zac chuckle. "I'm not going to hurt him."
the guards move their guns down on my fathers command and back away a little. Ash walks up to my father and has her hand in her pocket.
"We are going to take him home." Ash says looking in my fathers eyes. She is the same height as him.
"You can't... if he is moved he could die. He is safe here." My father says calmly and I can see the muscles in Ash's hand move. She is gripping her knife. I walk up and take her arm.
"He is right. The chart says he is in stable condition but only here." I say and she looks down at me and nods.
I slowly lift her hand out of her pocket. She does what I make her do. I didn't even have to tell her.
She looks up at my father who has a suspicious eye on her.
"What?!" Her accent says.
"You seem oddly comfortable with my daughter." He says and I get scared and back away from Ash.
"I mean what can I say... she is warm..." He growls at her. "And pretty hot." She says and my father punches her across the face. I lung forward to try and help but Liam has a hold of me. Even though he is the shortest of Zac and Ash he sure is strong.
Zac goes to help Ash but Guards step in front of him. He was about to take them down but Ash calls out for him to stop. Hades is just sitting in a chair near Jacob watching this whole thing.
Ash stands up from her knees that she had fallen too.
"You better apologize girl!" My father says to her and she smirks back at me.
"You're right... lets not make a scene... Im sorry for hitting on your daughter" She says and he raises his hand up to punch her. He throws his hand out and she dodges it. He misses her and falls to the floor.
The guards all rush to him and Ash puts her arm on m back leading me out the door.
"Where are we going?" I ask looking at her. She has a bruise forming on her jaw.
"I don't know.. you tell me..." She says looking around.
"Here follow me." I say grabbing her hand. I can feel her smirk as I drag her around the palace.
