Avery's POV

I lead Ash around the palace all the way up to a tower. I open the door to find my room in perfect shape.

Ash looks around at all the white in the room.

"Is is blinding." She said and she took her leather jacket off and put it on my bed. "That's better." She says with a slight smile at her own joke.

It's a normal temperature in my room. It is still pretty cold. Enough to make Ash weaker but warm enough to keep her warm.

I look around my room and smile. I do love my room. It's a safe place for me.

"So Princess.... what do you do for fun around here?" Ash asks playfully walking up behind me.

I turn and look at her. "I could show you the town." I say. Ash thinks for a moment and nods. I get a huge smile then it fades.

"What?" She asks suddenly concerned at my frown.

"I'm not allowed out of the castle." I say looking down.

"Yes you are. You're still my prisoner, Love." She says. I look up at her and she winks. She puts her jacket back on. "Lets go."

We walk out down but the main gates when guards stand in front of us.

"Out of my way." Ash says trying to walk passed the but they stand in front of her. She sighs. "Oh look what's that!" She says pointing at something to the right. They all turn their heads and she grabs my hand. We rush out past them and Ash chuckles. "Too easy."

I hear some guards follow us. "Stop!"

"Nope." Ash yells back as she continues to hold my hand and walk away.

"Dude just drop it. They'll be back in time and that demon obviously has a thing for the princess so nothing bad will happen to her." I hear a guard say and Ash stops dead in her tracks.

"Ash-" I start but she lets go of my hand and picks up a little stick from the snowy ground. She turns and throws it at the guard that spoke and it hits him square in the head.

She nods and takes my hand again as we walk.

I smile a little and keep going.

When we make it to the village you heard, "my god it's the princess." "Is that a demon?" "I've never seen her before." "Wow that's really the princess."

They have never seen me in real life only in pictures. Ash lets go of my hand when she hears everyone. We continue walking.

We stop at booth after booth.

"Okay Ash this is a favorite food on this side of the world." I say paying for one.

"And what is it?" She asks. As soon as the Booth owner heard her accent his eyes widen in fear. Ash looks at him. "Oh please. If I wanted to kill you I would have done it when you handed Avery the food. I would have grabbed you arm an-" I cut her off by grabbing her arm and walking away from the booth.

"Any way!" I say getting her attention again. "This is called a Funnel Cake." I say and she nods looking at it.

"It's weird." She says and she pokes it getting some of the powdered sugar on her finger. She smiles and pokes my noses getting the powder on my nose.

"Really?" I ask and roll my eyes. She just laughs. I'm about to wipe it off my nose and she stops me. "What?" I ask.

"Nothing. It's just cute. It looks like a little bit of snow fell on your tiny nose." She says and I blush.

"My nose isn't tiny!" I say.

"Yes it is." She says and she opens her mouth to speak again. I rip a piece of the funnel cake off and put it in her mouth so she can't talk. The sugar gets on her lips and she smiles. With her mouth closed of course.

They may be demons but they have plenty of manners.

They was rude. Oh my god I sidest!

She sees me look sad. She finishes chewing then says. "What's wrong, love?"

"Nothing." I say taking some of the funnel cake.

We eat and talk while walking around the town. We go into one shop that has beanies and hats. I found this cat beanie and called Ash over.

"Come here Ms. other side." I say with a devious smile.

"What's up." She says and I hold up the beanie. "If you put that on me I'm going to have to end you." She says with a playful tone. All the Angels in the room look up and stare at her in shock.

She looks around. "I'm kidding." She says and she looks back at me. She whispers. "You guys don't joke about murder here huh?" I giggle.

"Nope." I say and I put the beanie on her head. I had to jump a little to get it up there but I got it. She rolls her eyes. The cat ears are cute. I laugh. She takes it off and puts it back on the shelf.

"You have lost your privileges of being in this store." She says.

"Hey this is my side of the world." I say pointing my finger at her.

"And you are still my prisoner." She said and she bit my finger.

"Ouch!" I say holding my finger. We walk out of the story.

***
We walk to an open area with snow as far as the eyes can see. All of a sudden something smacks Ash right in the face. I turn to see what happened only to see snow on her face.

I laugh.

"What was that?!" She yells and turns to see some kids.

"Shoot! That was the demon! Run!" The kid yells to his friends and they take off.

"Running won't help them." Ash mutters wiping the snow off her face. I laugh and start wiping the snow off her face.

My warm hand feels good against her cold face. Her nose is red and her tan has gone away.

"You look like you are freezing!" I say and cup her face with my hands.

"I mean. It's below 0° Celsius so.... I'm really hurting...." say says melting against my skin. Or thawing.

"Let's go." I say and we make it back tot he castle and back to my room. We both get in the bed and listen to her music player thing.

While we are laying there listening to music our shoulders two inches apart I ask her.

"Why did you stay out there if it was hurting you?"

"Because I was having fun being with you." She answered honestly.

"But I should have seen you were hurting or should have at least remembered that the cold hurts demons. I should have thought I'm sorry." I ramble.

"No really. I was happy. For the first time in a long time. I was having fun." She says and she turns her head to me. "Thank you."

"Of course I say." We both turn out heads back up.

We lay there and a sudden open of the door makes me and Ash jump out of bed.
