The Right Side

Chapter 17

Ash is leaning her back on the wall with her arms crossed. It has been an hour ish and everyone has ate their meals except Ash. We are all sitting at the table muttering words to each other.

I walk over to Ash I look up at her and she looks down at me.

"Can I help you?" She asks with a playful smirk.

"Actually I'm here to help you..." I say and I bite my lip under her gaze. When I do that she tenses up at my action. What is that about? "Um... you look cold." I whisper quietly.

"Pfft... no... it's only..." she pauses and looks at a thermometer on the wall. "57 degrees in here."

Her nose is a light pink. Her eyes glow against her tan skin. Wow. She is beautiful.

"I know I was just coming to see if I could help." I whisper looking down at my feet. I feel Ashs cold hand lifting my head up to look at her.

"I'm good princess..." she says and I take her hand slowly. She lets me and I hold her frozen hand in mine. Her other hand was in her other pocket. "We are getting too used to doing this." She whispers.

"Is that a bad thing?" I ask stepping close to her. A sudden boost of confidence taking me.

"Of course not, baby..." she whispers pulling me a little closer. Her accent was suddenly heavier. My breath stops at the way her accent spoke.  She takes her other hand out of her pocket and brushes a stand of my hair out of my face.

Her hands are cold against my warm skin. A shiver goes down spine as the doors to the room opens. I take a step back and turn towards the door. Ash's eyes move from me to n the open doors.

"The King has your room prepared. Please follow me." He says and the demons follow. We walk for a long by time. After many of stair cases and halls were reach were out rooms are. They are spare rooms. When we enter it is 20 degrees warmer. I
Hear all of the demons sigh of relief.

"There are three rooms and the couch folds out. You have TELLL bathrooms and a small kitchen area." The guard says then he exits the room.

Zac and Delaney walk off and claim a room and Hades claims one too.

"Guess that leaves me and you princess." Liam says and I laugh.

"Not in your wildest dreams!" I say and Ash laughs at Liam's sad face.

"I'm fine with you and Ash sharing a room. Just proves your a couple." Liams says and Ash laughs.

"Wait right there Liam." She says and she walks into the kitchen area. When she comes back she has something in her hands. Before I could make out what it is she smacks it ontop of liams head.

It was an egg.

"Really!" Liam shouts.

"Guess you're calling shower first." Ash says shrugging and walking off to the last available room. He mumbles rude words as he walks into the bathroom.

I follow Ash into the room and she is checking her luggage. Making sure everything is there I guess.

"They didn't steal anything." I say and she turns to me.

"You don't know that..." She says with a serious face and I giggle. I walk over to the bed and sit on it with my back against the back board. Ash pulls something out of her bag and walks over. She sits next to me and hands me a small bud type thing. I take it and look at it.

"Um..." I say staring at the thing with a wire connecting to it. The wire goes to another bud that Ash has.

"Its an ear bud... you put it in your ear..." She says and I nod. She puts the bud in her ear and I followed her action. She presses play on the tiny box thing in her hand and loud harsh music fills my ears making me jump. She pauses it. "Sorry... I'll put something softer on for you." She whispers and hits play again.
