Elissa's eyes widened. "Wh-what is it?"
"Would you...like to...maybe go...out to eat or something...with me?" Rae asked, looking away, expecting the worst, even though he knew she liked him.
"Really...? You really mean it?" Elissa asked.
Rae nodded, and looked up at Elissa, whose eyes were lit up, and widened.
"Rae...I'd love to," Elissa said, smiling. "Is that what was bothering you?"
"Yeah..." Rae said, sounding more joyful.
"Oh, Rae...you should have known I would have loved to go with you. Why were you so afraid to ask me?" Elissa asked.
"I guess because I was afraid of getting rejected. I've never really asked a girl out before," Rae smiled.
"Really, thats amazing," Elissa laughed. "Rae, thank you so much!" Elissa leaned over and hugged him tightly, but not too tight.
Rae smiled, and hugged her back. "Elissa, I like you...a lot..."
Elissa blushed, and felt the butterflies in her stomach for the first time. "I like you too, Rae," she smiled.
"Aw...look at the couple...how disgusting..." Matt sighed.
Rae looked up at him coming down the stairs. "Matt..." Rae almost growled.
"What...? All I promised was not to tell anyone about her, not that I would leave you and her alone. I wouldn't ever promise something like that," he almost laughed.
"Rae...? What's he talking about when he said that he promised you not to tell anyone about me?" Elissa asked.
"Well, he, my mom, and Robert all know about your little secret of your dad..." Rae sighed.
"You told them?!" Elissa almost yelled.
"No...they found out by seeing your back while we were sleeping..." he sighed again.
"But how would they know that it was my dad?" Elissa asked annoyed.
"My brother's practically a genius it seems like..." Rae explained. "He's probably the one who found out everything."
"Oh...I guess I shouldn't come downstairs in my pajamas anymore then," Elissa laughed and smiled.
"I made him promise that he wouldn't tell anyone, and you don't have to worry about my mom or Robert, so your secret is safe with all of them," Rae explained.
"Thanks Rae," Elissa smiled and hugged him.
"Okay...I'm out of here..." Matt said walking back towards his room.
Rae and Elissa watched him go, and then started laughing.
"Looks like everything's going well in here," Ms. Irving said looking at the two sitting on the couch.
"Oh...uh, yeah..." Rae answered, calming down, while Elissa looked at his mom, smiling.
"Well then, I'll just leave you two alone," she said, giving Elissa a sly smile, making her blush.
"Bye, Mom," Rae said, looking at her weirdly. He watched his mom leave the room, and then looked back to Elissa. "Sor-...Elissa?" Rae said, seeing Elissa blushing. "Are you okay? Why have you suddenly started blushing?"
"No reason!" Elissa jumped, her cheeks turning even redder.
Rae tried to stifle his laughter from the look on Elissas face, but failed.
"What are you laughing at?" Elissa said, her cheeks starting to go back to normal.
"Nothing..." Rae denied. "Why were you blushing earlier?"
