"Don't worry Rae, I'm sure you'll come up with something," Rae's mom encouraged, hugging him. "Just let her know that she can come to me for anything she needs, okay?"
"Okay, I'll be sure to let her know," Rae smiled, and started heading toward Matt's room. He sighed, and knocked on his door. "Matt...come out, please. I need to talk to you."
"About what?" he said, opening up the door.
"About...what you found out about Elissa," Rae answered.
Matt opened his door up all of the way, and asked, "What about it?"
"You can't tell anyone about what you found out about her."
"What makes you think I would want to?"
"Because I know you and how you like to tell everyone you know about something you just found out," Rae explained, glaring at him.
"Alright, alright, I know...I won't tell anyone..." Matt sighed through gritted teeth.
"Thanks!" Rae said, changing his attitude.
"Whatever..." Matt said, going back in his room, slamming his door.
"Well, that went better than I thought..." Rae sighed. Rae looked down the stairs, towards the living room. He smiled, and started heading downstairs. He stopped when he reached the entrance to his living room, and smiled at Elissa sleeping right where he had left her on the floor of the living room. He went over towards her, and picked her up with the blanket. He carried her upstairs, and laid her back into his bed. He covered her up, and leaned over to kiss her on the cheek. "Sweet dreams, Elissa." Rae watched as a smile started spreading across Elissas face, and smiled himself. He watched her for a minute, and then went outside of his room.
Rae's mom waited downstairs for him to come back down. She had a smile plastered on her face. Rae looked at her strange, and said, "What are you smiling about?"
"It's nothing!" she smiled even wider.
"Okay..." Rae sighed.
"I have something to ask you..." Rae's mom hinted for him to sit down next to her.
"What is it?" Rae asked, confused, as he sat down.
"Do you like Elissa?" Rae's mom asked, still smiling wide.
Rae's eyes grew big, and his cheeks turned pink. "Wh-why did you ask that...?!"
"Because I think you do-o!" she said, teasing him.
Rae's face grew even pinker. "N-no I d-dont!" he denied.
"That's not what Elissa told me!" she teased even more.
"She said...what exactly?" he asked with wide eyes.
"Oh nothing really...she just said that you liked her...a lot," his mom smiled slyly.
Rae gulped out, "Sh-she said th-that?"
Mrs. Irving smiled, and nodded.
"I c-cant believe she told you I liked her..." Rae sighed.
"So you don't like her?" Rae's mom asked, confused.
"No, I do like her...a lot...I just..." Rae started.
"I knew it!" she said, almost jumping up and down.
Rae just looked at her confused. "You're acting weirder than normal, Mom. Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine!" she said with her same huge smile. "But wait...you just what? You started saying something, but you never finished."
"Oh...well...I was just going to say that...I just don't know how to...ask her out. I want to, so bad, but...I just don't know how..." Rae sighed.
Mrs. Irving smiled warmly and caringly. "Rae, all you need to do is follow your heart. It might not come out how you want it, but if she likes you back, then she won't care. The thing is girls don't care how it's said, as long as you say it."
"Really...?" Rae asked.
"It's the truth. Now, when she wakes up, why don't you ask her?" his mom suggested.
"I dont know...if I can..." Rae sighed.
"Remember, a girl doesn't care how you say it, just as long as you do," his mom smiled, and stood up.
"Mom...?"
"Hm...?" she said, turning around.
"Thanks," Rae smiled.
"You're welcome," she smiled back.
"Elissa didn't really...tell you that...did she?"
Rae's mom laughed, and answered, "No, she didn't, but I did get you to confess." Mrs. Irving winked at him, and left the living room.
"Well, good morning, dear!" Rae heard his mom say as she left the living room. "How did you sleep?"
"Pretty good, but how did I get back up in Rae's room?" Rae heard someones voice, and assumed it was Elissa.
"Oh great..." Rae sighed.
"I don't know...why don't you go ask Rae?" Mrs. Irving suggested.
"Okay, where is he?" Elissa asked.
"He's in the living room," she said, pointing Elissa in the direction.
"No...I really don't have the guts to do this right now..." Rae sighed, fidgeting.
"Thanks, Mrs. Irving," Elissa said, coming towards the living room.
"Dont mention it, dear," his mom said, walking off.
Rae sat back in the couch, and waited for Elissa's arrival.
Elissa walked into the room, seeing Rae, smiling, and then coming to sit down next to him. "Hey, Rae," Elissa greeted.
"Hi...Elissa," Rae said.
"Is everything all right?" Elissa asked him, worried.
"Yeah, everything's...fine," Rae said, forcing a smile on his face.
"Are you....sure?" Elissa said, looking into his eyes.
Rae gulped, and said, "It's just...nothing really."
Elissa grabbed his hand. "You're positive?"
Rae looked up, into Elissa's eyes, and said, "I have to tell you something..."
