"Hey, hottie..." she heard a voice from behind her, making her jump, and drop her things. "Whoa...didn't mean to scare you or anything..."

Elissa turned around to face Matt. "What do you want?" she asked.

"Nothing really, just now that Rae's gone...I can finally take advantage of you..." he smiled a perverted smile.

Elissa's eyes grew wide, and she just trusted her instincts, and kicked right between the legs. "You pervert!!!" she yelled, and ran for her life.

"Oh shi-..." he started.

"You should have known better than that, you idiot..." Robert sighed.

"Damn, that girl sure does love to kick! I'm going to kill her..." he sighed, falling to the ground. "Didn't she know I was just freaking joking?!"

"Obviously not..." Robert sighed, walking past him, picking up Elissa's things, and taking them to her.

"Damn smart aleck..." he said under his breath.

"Here...take your items..." Robert said, throwing them at Elissa, who was sitting on the floor with her back to the wall.

"What the hell is his problem?!" she asks him.

"Who knows...?" Robert said, heading outside.

Elissa picked up her things, and headed towards the bathroom, dropping them off, and heading to where she left Matt. She reached him and said, "I hope you learned your lesson!"

"Damn girl, what's your problem?!" Matt yelled at her.

"My problem?! What's your problem?! You were trying to take advantage of me, just because Rae left!"

"I was joking!"

"Well next time, try making it sound sarcastic!" Elissa yelled at him, stomping off.

"Rae...you always pick the stubborn/stupid ones..." Matt mumbled, heading towards the front door.

"Hey, I heard that!" Elissa yelled at him as he walked out of the door.

"Whatever..." Matt sighed.

Elissa sighed, and started heading towards the bathroom.

After she was finished taking a shower, she kept holding up different types of clothes, trying to figure out what looked better. She actually took a lot of time to fix her hair, and put on more makeup than just black eye liner. She was wearing a light blue shirt with long sleeves that flared out at the ends, with a white undershirt beneath it. She was wearing khaki colored jeans which were a little baggy. Her long black hair was partially pulled back, and her bangs pulled over to one side. She was wearing some lip gloss, making her lips seem fuller, and she was also wearing light blue eye shadow and rosy colored blush. "Whoa...why am I doing all of this? He already knows I like him...so why?" Elissa kept asking herself as she looked into the mirror at the new her. "I look...different...will that be a good thing? Or would it be a bad thing? Why am I trying so hard just to impress just one guy? It's so confusing...maybe it's to hide all of the things I've done? But...doing all of this won't help...everything I've done can't and won't be forgiven...I may pretend I can just dress up, and none of those horrible things I did would have ever happened...but...I'm really just fooling myself by doing this. Why didn't I run away before I did any of those things?" By this time, Elissa's eyes were starting to fill up with tears. "Why did I ever even think about doing something like that?! I should have never gone anywhere near...he was so little...it's my fault he's...not here...anymore..."

Suddenly, Elissa heard the door bust open, and someone yell, "What the hell are you talking about?!"

Elissa jumped, and turned toward the door which is now hanging by only one of its hinges. Standing there, she saw someone she had never seen before. This guy looked like he was in his late forties or early fifties. He had black hair, and blazing brown eyes. He was broad and bulky, and had light tan skin. Elissa just stood there with wide eyes, breathing heavily. "M-Mr. Irving...?" she asked shakily.

"Answer my question you bitch!" he yelled once again.

Elissa started shaking and breathing even more uneasily. "M-my dad...you're just like my d-dad..." She started backing up towards the back wall of the bathroom. When she bumped into the wall, she jumped. She slid her back down the wall, keeping her widened eyes on him the whole time. "I know now...I'm just going to end up dying..." Tears started welling up in her eyes and pouring down her face. "R-Rae...you promised...you would protect me...always...where are you now?" Elissa whispered.

"I didn't hear you clearly...so what was it you just said?!" he asked her.

Elissa just stayed there, silent and crying.

Mr. Irving started coming closer towards her. "What did you do to what little boy?!"

"Dad...?! What are you doing?!" Rae's voice came from the front of the house.

Mr. Irving turned his head toward Rae, and looked back towards Elissa. "You do know that we have a murderer in this house, don't you?!" he asked Rae.

"Dad...? What are you talking abou-...Dad?! What do you think you're doing to Elissa?!" Rae yelled at him when he saw inside the bathroom. He tried to run over to her, but his dad kept getting in the way. "Dad...! You've got to move! I don't know what you did to her, but you're scaring her half to death! She didn't do anything to you!" He snuck underneath him, and ran on his knees over to Elissa. "Elissa, what's going on? Why are you crying? What did he do to you to make you cry like this?!" Rae didnt realize it, but he was practically yelling at Elissa as well.

"Melvin...?! What are you doing to that poor girl?! Get away from her!" Mrs. Irving demanded, coming into the house.

Mr. Irving reluctantly moved out of the bathroom doorway, going towards his wife.

Elissa looked over to Rae, not saying a word.

"Elissa...!" Rae yelled at her, shaking her. "Tell me, what happened?!"

Elissa started shaking even worse, and got up, and ran out of the bathroom crying.

"Elissa...?" Rae started, looking after her. He realized how harsh he must have sounded, and sighed. "I'm so sorry..."

Elissa ran up to Rae's room, grabbing all of her things, and throwing them into her backpack. "I'm such an idiot...why did I think I would get away with any of this?" Elissa kept saying to herself. Tears were still streaming down her face, and she slung her backpack over her shoulder and started heading for his door. Elissa was about to open the door to go out, when Rae came in.

"Elissa? What happened down there?" Rae asked her, shutting the door behind him.

"I-I'm leaving, Rae. And I'm never coming back..." Elissa whispered, and went to reach for the door handle, but was stopped by Rae getting in her way.

"Elissa...tell me why you're leaving," Rae asked.

"N-no...I c-can't!" Elissa screamed, trying to push Rae aside, but failing.

"Elissa...I'm sorry I have to do this, but I don't want you...to go..." Rae sighed, knocking Elissa out by hitting the back of her neck. "Elissa...please forgive me..." Rae said, catching the limp figure of Elissa. He picked her up, and set her down on his bed. "I promised you that I would always protect you, but how can I do that if you run away?"
