WHEN WE DEPARTED

Oh, how I remember the day we departed,
I was so very brokenhearted,
the eloquence of your last words
did stir in my mind
as my heart further sank.

Oh, the winter winds blow
I felt I had caught the Flu
because all I did was crying over you,
You left me feeling so blue.

In the silence of the night
my tears did fall -
like the autumn leaves that are in the yard
Oh, how you truly have broken my heart
but that wasn't how we started.

The painful memories moved along
they where sever for many long years
leaving me in tears-
But soon I call this benevolent
of true love, because I learned to write
out my painful lines all this time.

You left me pale and empty
where all my emotions grew
leaving me cold in view
as my body felt it was already dead
while I lied down in our empty bed.

My body felt the coldness
among your empty kiss;
something I truly missed,
truly those hours and years
where all my tears,

Has foretold our story of long ago
of a sorrowfulness in a winter morning,
that chilled my heart
when we did depart.
