(Your POV):
I groaned as I rolled over in bed, my entire body sore. I wanted to close my eyes and drift back into my peaceful sleep, but I knew that I would need to re-bandage the nasty cut that I had across my torso, courtesy of my parents. The gash stung as I pulled the old bandages off, causing me to hiss lightly under my breath.

Once the new bandages were in place, I checked my phone for the time, discovering it was already late in the afternoon and Peter had texted me about a million times. I cringed, realizing how worried I must have made him. I probably should turn my phone off of silent mode so that I could hear when people, him in particular, texted me so that I could stop them from becoming frantic.

Hey, sorry for not responding earlier, I ended up sleeping in as I didn't get much sleep after how eventful last night turned out to be, I replied, hoping to ease his worries. It seemed that that was what I was always doing. I was finding myself in more and more situations that I was knocked out after a punishment or else treatment by my parents. One of these days I wouldn't be able to talk my way out of it and if Peter were to discover who I was- well that would be the end of our relationship. Perhaps it would just be easier to end it now and save us both the pain.

As I was scarfing down a quick brunch, Peter responded, thank god, I was getting really worried. How did your parents react last night? Are you ok?

They were pissed, but I managed to get out with just a month of being grounded. Thank god we pretty much finished the write up last night otherwise we would be screwed.

You sure you're ok? They seemed really upset last night and I have to be honest their tones really scared me.

I thought we already went over this? My parents may have a strong bark, but no bite. I'm fine.

If you're sure. Let me know when you get off of being grounded and we can have a movie night?

I hesitated for a moment, but eventually replied, sure.

It probably wasn't wise to keep the relationship going, but I certainly wasn't going to break up with him over text. Instead I finished up my meal and returned to my room to complete some homework. It was late into the night by the time that I finished, but I still had missions to complete. I knew that I was in no condition to go out, but my parents wouldn't accept that excuse and I would just be punished again if I didn't finish everything that I was assigned.

So I took some painkillers and headed out, completing the few assassinations and the one destruction of some sort of base, which I assumed contained remnants of S.H.I.E.L.D. It was probably about midnight when I snuck back into my apartment, hearing the sounds of the TV coming from the living room.

Curious to know why my parents were still up, I found the room empty. I was about to look for my parents, but was drawn to the image on the screen. It was of someone flying over the streets of New York wearing a costume reminiscent of Norman Osborn's and on a glider that matched as well. He was fighting a red and blue blur, which I recognized immediately as Peter, making my heart drop.

Harry.

Without another thought, I sprinted to my room and threw my phone onto my bed so that my parents couldn't track me. I slipped back onto the fire escape, descending as quickly as my legs could carry me. My parents really needed to invent some teleportation for me. Or webs, I'd settle for those as well.

As I sprinted through the streets of New York to where Harry was attacking Peter, I let my suit materialize around my body again. However, when I arrived, there was no one left, except for a few police officers dealing with the wreckage that the two of them had left.

I groaned and changed course to Oscorp, hoping that I would find Harry there. I needed to talk to him. He must have taken the Green Goblin serum or something. It would explain everything. The unnatural green that was now present in his skin and eyes, his raised agitation. He had truly gone insane, turning into the same monster that his father had.

I slipped into his office, relieved to find Harry, still in his Goblin costume, standing in front of a large portrait of his father. Wary, I approached him and spoke, "I saw that we have a new hero in town."

Without turning to me he growled, "I don't need you anymore, I'll get Spider-Man myself."

"Well considering that you didn't tonight, I would say that you need my help. Neither of us have been able to capture him alone, so perhaps we could team up?" I suggested, knowing better than to discuss my true feelings with someone so beyond sanity.

As I spoke, my eyes scanned the room, looking at the chemicals within. They landed on a bottle of enhanced chloroform which had been converted to a gaseous state. I turned my gaze back to Harry, who was turning to face me, but called the bottle to my hand.

"I don't need your help," he spat, glaring at me with his bright green eyes. "And now I don't have to deal with you blackmailing me anymore. I can tell your father about you and Peter and tell the world about H.A.M.M.E.R."

I raised my eyebrow at him, "If you don't need my help, then why isn't Spider-Man here right now? Why did he beat you?"

"He didn't beat me! We were both too weak to continue, but I'll get him next time."

My blood ran cold as I wondered how injured Peter was. I hadn't seen the ending of the fight, I didn't know how much he had been wounded. However, I pushed those thoughts out of my mind and opened the bottle of chloroform, praying that it would work against Harry, even with the Green Goblin serum.

Thankfully Harry's body went crashing to the ground, caught in my arms at the last minute. I didn't know if anyone else was around right now and I really didn't need to alert anyone to our presence but by catching him I was able to prevent the loud crash of his body hitting the ground. I threw Harry over my shoulders and scaled down the Oscorp building, praying that I wouldn't drop Harry or plummet to my own death.

Careful to remain hidden by the shadows, I carried Harry to one of my parents' properties. It was where the first H.A.M.M.E.R. base had been before Norman had completed the extension of his basement to run his side organization. Now it was used by no one, but I knew I could easily convert it to a workplace to save Harry and began to set up all of the old security systems.

Feeling Harry stir on my shoulders, I quickly brought him to one of the old med bays and strapped him to a bed in an isolation chamber. As I was extracting blood to do some testing on, Harry woke up with a furious expression on his face.

"What are you doing?! Why have you brought me here?!" He cried out, frantically fighting again the restraints.

"Calm down, Harry. This Green Goblin serum that you've given yourself, it's not stable. I'm here to remedy that."

"No, you're not! You're trying to strip me from my powers!"

I shook my head, "Harry, I am not against you having powers. But you need to be able to control them. Right now they're controlling you, just as they did your father. Do you want to know what his last words were? He was begging Spider-Man not to tell you who he was, not to tell you that he had become such a monster. Do you really want to be a monster like him, Harry? Make your father proud, let me help you."

(A/N): I'm not super happy with this chapter but the changes would need to be big and I honestly am too tired to think, but I hope that you enjoy it! And Harry is officially the Green Goblin!
