(Your POV):
I didn't have to wait long for the Molten Man and Scorpion to make another scene. Only a few days after Peter's first battle with them, which I still had no idea how he survived, they attacked him again. As soon as I saw a notification about their sighting, I leapt out of bed and left my homework behind to go help Peter out.As I ran through the streets, I activated my suit and helmet, so that when I arrived at the base of the building that they were fighting on top of I was prepared for battle. Trying to ignore the height of the building, I sent my grapple to the top and began to scale it, my thoughts resting solely on Peter's safety. As I got closer to the roof, the sounds of fighting filled my ears and by the sounds of it Peter wasn't doing so hot.
He let out a grunt following a loud thud, making me wonder if he had been thrown to the ground. Scorpion then spoke up, "you may have snuck away from us last time, but this is one fight that you won't walk away from, punk."
I arrived on the top of the roof to find Scorpion crouching over Peter, his pincher-like hands wrapped around his neck. Peter was gasping for breath, but I could tell that his airways were blocked and he was going to pass out soon if I didn't step in.
"Hey guys, I thought we were supposed to be a team? I'm a little offended that you didn't invite me," I spoke, successfully distracting them enough that Peter could slip out of Scorpions grasp, gasping for breath and coughing.
Both creatures turned to me with disgust in their eyes before Molten Man replied to me, "we don't need your scum, you're just a kid running around in a suit. We've got real powers and we're not going to let the credit of capturing this little insect fall to you."
"Well now I'm really offended and, trust me, you don't want to insult me," I replied, sending a metal sign from atop the next roof over into Molten Man. The power that I used to throw the sign caused him to be knocked over, but the sign also melted upon impact with him, much to my amazement. However I focused on my next move as I replied, "you've got real powers, have you? Well, let's see them then."
Scorpion rushed at me, but I easily dodged his punch. I wasn't, however, anticipating a blow from his tail and as I result he sent me flying off of the rooftop. Before having a chance to scan the perimeter for something to latch onto so that I wouldn't plummet to my death, I was caught in the arms of someone that I first assumed was Peter, but soon recognized my mistake.
"Harry! What took you so long?" I asked as I clung onto him for dear life, slightly terrified that his glider wasn't a safe way means of travel.
He flashed me his signature smirk as he replied, "you know me, always fashionably late. Besides, you're lucky I arrived when I did, otherwise you'd be a pancake sixteen stories down."
I wished that my mask wasn't on as I rolled my eyes, "I had the situation under control. But thank you."
Harry then dropped me off on the roof top I had been thrown off and landed himself, "someone said something about there being two super villains up here?"
Peter's white eyes widened at the sight of Harry while the two creatures turned around to glare at the new arrival. It was clear that Peter was putting up a hell of a fight while I was falling to my death, webs strewn across the entire rooftop. I was glad that I wasn't gone for long as I wasn't sure how long Peter could actually hold up against them on his own.
"Harry Osborn, I thought you gave up the life of the Green Goblin," Molten Man sneered, throwing a ball of fire at him, which he easily dodged.
"Well, this isn't much of a welcome back party," he complained as he threw one of his spiked metal boomerangs at him in response.
However the weapon simply melted once it got close to Molten Man's skin and didn't damage him in the least. Harry's eyes widened, realizing one his favored weapons was going to be useless. Distracted by that, he seemed unaware of the Scorpion going in for an attack. I quickly stepped between them, blocking the attack and countering.
Peter, seeming relieved to have some help, jumped back into the fight, flinging his webs left and right. Even with the three of us, it was proving difficult to keep the two creatures pinned down. They were different than anyone we had ever fought before and their enhancements made it incredibly difficult to land attacks.
I found myself beneath Scorpion's pinchers and he growled at me, "you have more experience, you might even be more skillful, but power is what really matters. And unlike you, power is what I've got."
Suddenly the Scorpion was pulled away from me and smacked into a sign on the building. He let out a cry of rage as he snipped Peter's webbing from the back of his suit and I knew that we had only accomplished pissing him off more. Meanwhile, Harry was trying to fend off Molten Man who was sending balls of fire in every direction.
After getting knocked down by Scorpion's tail for what was probably the tenth time, I knew that it had to go. Still on the ground, I concentrated on the tail and managed to rip it from the suit with my mind. Peter then launched webs around it and sent it flying back into Scorpion, knocking him over. Harry jumped in and stabbed Scorpion with his sword, stabbing it through the more vulnerable metal covering his neck and causing blood to flow into his windpipe.
As he did that and all of our eyes were on him in shock, Molten Man gained the upper hand and sent a ball of fire hurtling towards Peter. Noticing it first, I tackled Peter to the ground so that he wouldn't be hit. But Harry must have had the same concern for Peter's safety because he stepped into the line of fire and took the hit himself. He stumbled backwards but seemed like he'd recover.
However, Molten Man took advantage of our collective moment of weakness and turned his arm into a hot liquid like state, plunging it into Harry's abdomen.
