(Your POV):
Peter and I met up occasionally throughout break, but were careful not to be out while my parents were home. That wasn't hard to do, what was more challenging was completing my missions while also working on homework and being over at Peter's. We ended up having a few dates that was just the two of us catching up on the mountain of work that our teachers had given, I suppose as our Christmas present. God I hated junior year.Peter had invited me to Harry's New Years party as Harry didn't have my number himself and after a bit of hesitation, I decided to accept. The last party of his hadn't gone so well as I had almost revealed my identity to a large group of my peers, but it had also led to Peter and I dating so it wasn't all bad. Besides, Peter promised to stay with my throughout the party in case an incident such as last time happened. Of course, he only thought he was there in case of shattering glass when in reality it was much bigger than that.
And so that was how I ended up walking down the streets of the busy city, my hand safely held within Peter's as we made our way to Harry's house. My parents were under the impression that I was out to complete my assigned missions of the day, my excuse whenever I was not in the house. However, I had already successfully finished everything that I had been assigned.
The walk that Peter and I shared to the party was not very far as he had taken the train in from Queens so that he could pick me up Brooklyn, where both Harry and I lived. I was thankful for this as it was quite chilly out, causing me to shiver even with my coat.
"Are you sure your ok with letting the school know that we're dating?" Peter asked me as we grew closer to Harry's house.
I took a deep breath and nodded, "y-yeah, I don't want anyone else thinking that they can have you, now do I?"
He gave me a small smile as he replied, "I don't think that would be a problem, I'm just a dork."
"Maybe, but you're an adorable dork," I added on, nudging him slightly with my shoulder. My heart was racing within my chest as I spoke, unsure if I was being too forward. We had only been dating for a little over week and had agreed to take things slow, but I supposed that he had given me many such compliments.
I noticed his cheeks deepen from the light tint of the cold and he stuttered a bit as he replied, "w-well I don't know a-about that."
"Well there has to be some reason that I'm dating you."
"I thought it was for my great intelligence and humor."
I snorted, "I can't say you're not funny, that was hilarious."
"Hey, I'm only .0002 points behind your GPA now, for your information."
"So what you're saying is that I'm .0002 points smarter than you," I teased, leaning up against him for warmth.
(Peter's POV):
(Y/N)'s body pressed against mine and I took the opportunity to wrap my arm around her. She looked so beautiful in the dazzling lights of the city, my heart fluttering slightly at the sight of her smile. I still didn't know how I ended up with her, I was luckier than I ever could have expected to be.And that was why I was so nervous. I wanted to pull off the cheesy kiss at midnight, but I was afraid that I was going to screw up everything. I had discussed it with May and she told me to go for it, but I was still really anxious about it. I had spent countless time wanting to place my lips on hers. I wanted to know what they felt like against mine, what their taste was.
We finally arrived at Harry's house, his party already in full swing. It was still only ten o'clock, but everyone was already celebrating the new year. It was much warmer inside the house, so I removed (Y/N)'s coat for her, revealing her shimmering gold dress. She gave me a stunning smile of thanks, truly looking like a goddess.
I hung her coat up in one of the private coat rooms that I could use being a close friend of Harry's, then offered her my arm. She slipped her arm into the crook of my elbow, amused by my formal gesture at a college party. But I could not treat her any less with how gorgeous she looked.
"Where do you think we'll find Ned in here?" She asked me as we began to wander around the house.
A mischievous smile spread across my lips as I led her into one of the side hallways, "wait until you see this."
Her brows furrowed as she allowed me to escort her blindly. As I was leading her to the game room, where I knew Ned would have already taken shelter, I realized how suspicious I seemed, leading a woman into the more deserted parts of the house during a high school party. I almost breathed a sigh of relief when we arrived at the door, opening it for her so that she could enter first.
"Hey Ned," she spoke as she entered the room with me close behind.
"(Y/N), I wasn't really expecting you to show up to another one of these," he replied, focused on the game on the TV.
"Yeah, what happened to the antisocial, loser?" MJ added, making me realize that she was playing the game alongside him.
"Well, I-I suppose that they may have something to with Peter," she muttered, a bit uncertainty as she slipped her hand into mine. I tried my best to give her a comforting smile as I squeezed her hand lightly, although I was also worried as to how our friends would react.
Ned's eyes widened in shock as he paused the game, "dude, how long has this been a thing?"
"Since Christmas Eve, we're sorry that we didn't tell you sooner, but we were still testing the waters," I explained, not wanting to put her in the spotlight.
"'Testing the waters,' really? We all knew that this was going to happen eventually, it was kind of obvious," MJ added, turning her attention back to the screen for when Ned resumed it.
"Well, we didn't know if (Y/N) was actually going to say yes, especially after she secluded herself again," Ned replied, offending me slightly although I knew that he was right. I would have never thought that I would actually get the girl.
"I mostly did that because I realized that I liked Peter and I didn't think that he could ever feel the same, I thought that if I were to try to distance myself then my feelings would go away," (Y/N) confessed, surprising me with her openness to Ned and MJ.
"So I guess congratulations are in order? If you guys want to join in the next game, you're welcome to," Ned said as he resumed the game and the attention was turned away from myself and (Y/N).
I was afraid that (Y/N) was going to think that the video games were too geeky, but she seemed more than happy to join in. Although she wasn't the best player, this being her first time, she was learning quickly and was having fun so I could think of tonight as a success.
As it got closer to midnight, Ned changed the TV back to cable and turned on the ball dropping, which was playing on multiple screens throughout the house for the guests. I felt something off the moment before the mechanized green suit came into view, making my hair stick up. The Green Goblin was back and this time terrorizing Times Square.

(A/N): And here's the Green Goblin to ruin yours and Peter's date! What do you think will happen? Will Peter go after him or leave the crime fighting to someone else for the night because he's enjoying time with you? Will you guys get your kiss at midnight?
