Two Weeks Later
(Your POV):
I kept running through my plan in my head, I had to find a way to capture this Spider-Man. My parents were getting more and more restless, especially since Spider-Man seemed to have a personal grudge against this new Green Goblin. However, the spider wasn't as easily caught as one might think.
"Hey, (Y/N)," Peter spoke, slipping into his chair next to mine as he arrived to class.
I gave him a curt nod, continuing the icy treatment I had reserved for him since breaking off from his friend group. I had thought that it would change my feelings towards him, but unfortunately that had not been the case. Instead, it had left me feeling absolutely miserable and alone.
Up until befriending him, I had accepted that friends were a mere distraction, at least that was what my parents had always taught me. And it had made sense, if you cared for someone then you would be more willing to sacrifice a mission to save them. But they had never warned me that feelings were so easily caught, even when you fought against the connection with every fiber of your being.
"Listen, w-we were thinking- you know, Ned, MJ, Harry, and I- and, well, we miss you," he stammered, looking nervously over at me with his gorgeous brown eyes.
My brows furrowed, "Why?"
"Oh, um, you can actually be pretty fun when you're not trying to act heartless. And I- we like you."
"You know how I feel about friends, Parker, you were overthinking our relationship. I work better alone and so that's how I want to be."
"Did you at least enjoy yourself when we hung out? As a group, I mean."
I shrugged, but couldn't find the strength to lie to him, "I guess I did."
"Then why not spend some time with us one last time? W-we're going to have this Christmas party at Harry's and we wanted you to be there. Y-you don't have to get anyone presents, of course, and you can either choose to stay through to the party that he's throwing for basically the whole school or leave before then. There's no pressure either way."
"I-I don't know, it wouldn't be right to go to a party at my parent's boss's house," I replied, trying to come up with excuses that wouldn't crush his hopes and that only made me feel worse about this entire situation.
"He won't be there," he tried to assure me, his eyes filled with an almost desperate look. "Please, (Y/N), we would love to have you there."
I bit my lip, "I'll think about it. Now, if you don't mind, we should get started on these problems so that we can get them done within class."
Peter nodded, pulled out his textbook, opening it between the two of us. He didn't look satisfied by my answer, but he know that it would be useless to argue further, at least at this moment. We began to work on the post-lab questions together, a light tension between the two of us that both of wanted to break, but neither knew how.
I could tell that Peter wanted me to join him and his friends for lunch, but I knew that I couldn't jump right back into his friend group. Even saying that I would consider the Christmas party was dangerous, but I was tired of hurting him and even more, I wanted to be with him no matter how wrong I knew it was.
However, I had more important thinks to worry about. When I got home from school, I made sure that I had everything ready to go toe to toe with Spider-Man once more. But this time I would win. While waiting for darkness to fall, which was happening earlier and earlier everyday as we approached the solstice, I focused on completing my homework.
Darkness fell and I pressed the button on my watch that caused my suit to form around me. I watched the transformation in the mirror, proud that I had finally accomplished something so technologically complex. I let it go back into my watch and then walked out of my apartment building as though I were just a normal citizen.
I didn't put the suit on again until I got into Queens and then prepared myself for battle. Unfortunately, I didn't have any targets in Queens, but that only meant that I would have to sacrifice someone. I chose a prime location to catch Spider-Man, slipping inside the apartment and hoping that someone would be home.
I was not disappointed when I found a young woman, probably in her early twenties, cooking dinner in her kitchen. Staying hidden, I quickly checked the rest of the apartment for others, but discovered that she was alone. Knowing that I needed her raise an alarm, I stepped out of the shadows as I raised my gun to shoot her. As I anticipated, she let out a bloodcurdling scream and tried to get away, but I easily ended her life in one shot.
Like clockwork, it hadn't even been a full minute before Spider-Man showed up. I smiled, despite knowing that he couldn't see my mouth through my mask, but that smile disappeared as he quickly threw a web at me, tossing me into a wall. I hissed in pain and telekinetically threw a couch at him, knocking him over as well. I ran over to his side before as tried to get out from under the couch. However, his leg was trapped under the weight of the couch as he yelped in pain. I kicked him in the stomach then landed a punch across his right cheek for good measure, releasing the anger that I had stored up towards him.
However, I knew that he needed to be in one piece for his examination so I tossed a bomb at him, releasing a glass that would knock him out. The white eyes of his mask widened when he realized what was happening, but he couldn't do anything about it as his body slumped on the ground.
As soon as his body went limp, I sent the couch flying out of the way and stuffed his body into the netting I had brought for my plan B. After lengthy testing, I knew that my mask would filter out dangerous chemicals, but I was unsure if Spider-Man's would do the same. Clearly, his suit was was not as advanced and I began to feel like an idiot that it had taken me over two months to bring him in when the answer was so simple.
As soon as I got him contained, I left the apartment building and rushed over to one that my family owned. They owned many properties across New York for various purposes, but this one was the closest and worked nicely for an interrogation. I didn't want to risk Spider-Man waking up and finding out where our main apartment was or even headquarters to H.A.M.M.E.R., on the off chance he figured out a way to survive this. Nor did I want to risk more people seeing me carrying Spider-Man's limp body.
I slipped inside of my parent's apartment and immediately found a chair to strap him into for when he woke up. Fighting the temptation to simply conduct the interrogation and then report back on the information that I gained, I sent a message to my parents to come immediately and that I had a great surprise for them. But I didn't tell them just how great it was. I had finally captured the famous Spider-Man and now we would find out who he was, who he was working for, and the most painful way to eliminate him.

(A/N): So um sorry I guess? It had to happen at some point though, otherwise I would've had to kill you off. I hope you enjoyed this chapter besides the fact that you captured Peter!
