(Your POV):
I got home with my mountain of homework that I had collected throughout the day, hoping to get an early start so that I could get out in my suit. The apartment was empty, as I assumed it would be as my parents were never really home much. However, they still communicated with me through a secure channel, usually informing me of any targets I had that night.

Before starting my work, I checked my assignments left from my parents. Sometimes it would be easier to eliminate targets during the day, so I wanted to make sure that that wasn't the case today. It was more risky going out in broad daylight. There weren't shadows for me to hide in and there were more pedestrians that could get caught up in my mission or report me to the police. There actually hadn't been any reported sightings of me for about a month now, leading many people to believe that I was gone for some reason. There were still unaccountable deaths and thefts, how did they not realize I was behind them?

Both of my targets today would be just as easy to eliminate at night, so I began to work on my homework, finishing up my questions for physics first. After hours of working and a quick break to eat something, the sun had finally set over New York, signaling the birth of the Void.

I changed into my outfit, annoyed by how long it took me to get into the skin-tight combat suit. There were many different buckles and straps that I had to worry about, making sure that the armor was secure around my body. Satisfied that it was fully secure, I threw my hair back into a french braid so that it would not get in my face while I was fighting. I then placed the tinted mask over my face, the pitch black look of the material having given me the name of Void. I then fastened the hood over my head, one last touch before I was ready to go out.

Checking all of my weapons one last time, I exited my apartment through the fire escape, trying to be seen by as few witnesses as possible. I really needed to think of a better way of getting ready that was less time consuming and didn't pose a chance that I would be caught. My first thought was a suit that was much easier to get changed into, but I had not been able to design a suit that was equally as safe as the one I had grown accustomed too. But perhaps there was a way to get the suit to expand around me, that way I could quickly change into if there was an emergency.

As I snuck through the dying streets of Queens, careful not to be seen by the dwindling number of pedestrians and vehicles, I began to contemplate what technology I could use to create an emergency suit. I didn't have much free time to experiment with the insane workload that junior year was putting on me, however perhaps during the weekends I could search for ways to create a collapsible suit that could grow around me as opposed to one I would have to get dressed into myself.

My first target was working late in the office, as he was prone to do. The light was still on in his office, assuring me that I had not arrived too late. Using my telekinesis I hooked a grapple on the edge of the window above his office, then began to climb the outside of the building. As I reached higher altitudes, the wind grew sharper and colder, but I wasn't going to let the heights bother me. My parents had raised me to have no fears and if I should find myself in a position where I had fear, I was to bury deep within and finish the mission at all costs.

And that is what I decided to do. Keeping my eyes pinned on the target office, I refused to let my gaze drop down and realization to creep in as to how high up I really was. I successfully managed to reach my destination, carefully balancing myself on the window sill as I kept one hand on my rope and used the other to slide open the window. I telekinetically popped out the screen meant to keep the bugs out and dropped into the office, causing my target to jump up from his seat in shock.

"Wh-What are you doing here?!" He panicked, trying to move towards the office door. "I-I haven't done anything wrong!"

"That's not what my bosses have told me. And now it is my job to eliminate you and make the world a better place," I replied, my voice slightly muffled by the mask.

My dagger lodged itself in his back as he reached the door, his body falling against it as he tried to pull it open. I walked over to his fallen body, ripping the dagger out of his back and picking him up by his hair in order to expose his neck to me. Tracing the blade across the tender skin, I then dug the blade deep within his neck, severing the muscles and the windpipe. Blood spurted out and I wiped my blade on his shirt before heading over to his laptop.

As per the instructions left by my parents, I erased all of the data on his computer, knowing that there must have been something incriminating that he must have found. I also took care to shred all of the documents in his office, in case he had printed whatever it was that my parents wanted to keep hidden. After doing that, I removed the bag of shredded paper from the machine and fastened it to my utility belt to throw away far from the crime scene.

I climbed back down the side of the building, thankful when my feet hit the solid ground. I walked the distance to my next target, who would be waiting for me in his apartment, tossing the bag of paper shreds into a dumpster along the way. Thankfully this apartment building had a fire escape, which I was more comfortable climbing then a side of a building.

Once on his level, I climbed to the windows of his apartment, finding him in the bedroom with his wife. Thankfully they were doing nothing more then lying in bed, because that was really not a sight that I needed to see right now. Not wanting either of them to scream and alert the rest of the apartment building, I simply cracked the window open slightly and unholstered my silencer, shooting them both in the head before they had a chance to react.

I then climbed into the bedroom to confirm my kills, before searching the apartment for a flash drive that he was supposed to have. Checking his person first, I found myself unsuccessful and began to ransack the apartment to find it. I cracked one of the connecting doors of the apartment open, finding a sleeping child of about five years and I immediately raised my gun to shoot her. However I found my finger hesitating on the trigger and I couldn't bring myself to end her life, not when it wasn't a necessary part of my mission.

Leaning against the door after I closed it, I took a deep breath and tried to get my head back into the mission. I never hesitated to kill anyone, I couldn't afford to do that because it would result in my death. It was the life of a child, one I didn't know and that did not matter to me. And yet I couldn't find the strength to end her life.

Knowing that I needed to complete my mission, I continued my search of the apartment to find the flash drive, desperately trying to get the young girl out of my head.

(A/N): I've been enjoying my pre-Star Wars marathon Star Wars marathon in preparation for Rise of Skywalker (I'm so excited, you guys don't even know), so yeah I apologize for this chapter being up kind of late (not that anyone's actually reading it the time that it's posted and I only really have one reader at the moment so...). Anyway, I'll stop rambling and I hope that you enjoy this chapter!
