T'was the first of December and all through Beach City everyone was stirring especially the Crystal Gems.
"It's now December and begins the countdown to Christmas." Steven said turning the Crying Breakfast Friends calendar from November to December with the 25th circled in green marker along with several notes on different days done in Pearl's handwriting.
It had been several months since Spinel's attack on Earth and almost killing Steven and everyone he knows and loves all because of his mother Pink Diamond abandoning her in the garden for 6,000 years after being given the Earth as her first gem colony and never returning to her.
Steven hopes for what will be the greatest Christmas ever with him, the Crystal gems, Connie, his dad Greg and Lion too.
Pearl was organizing the stockings which had each name stitched on in their respective colors. Amethyst's was purple with black, Garnet's was a fusion of red and blue to represent Ruby and Sapphire, Peridot's was green, blue with a hint of gold for Lapis Lazuli, pink with star prints for Steven, classic Christmas design for Greg all in a neat straight line. "Pearl did you make these?" Steven asked taking notice of the arranged stockings. "Not all of them, I bought Greg's actually and then sewed his name on it." She explained showing the holiday stocking to the half-gem teenager. "The rest, I made them especially this one which is for you." Pearl holds up the star printed stocking for Steven to see. "Thanks Pearl, you even got the stars on too." She smiles at Steven as she goes on about the stockings and how she arranged them.
"Steven! Over here!" Amethyst waves over to him from the kitchen. "Look at all these treats!" The purple gem bites into a whole fruit cake enjoying the taste. "You have to try this." She hands Steven the loaf she bit into. "I'm good, thanks though Amethyst." Steven takes hold on one of the sugar cookies eating one while the pale purple haired gem munches on the fruit cake.
Garnet was putting up a Christmas tree. "Steven what do you think?" She asks the boy. "It looks really great." He said staring at the 6 foot tree ready to be decorated.
This is perfect and so will be Christmas, surely nothing can go wrong.
