Sugarplum Pearl

There was a set stage and Jamie was pacing anxiously with a set of young ballerina dancers most of which are girls and boys who haven't reached at their double digits. "This is not good, there aren't enough sugarplum fairies it looks like there isn't gonna be a Nutcracker ballet this year." He said dramatically with his hand over his eyes.

The young dancers protested at this and one kicked the theater kid in the shin making him cry out in pain.

Steven, Pearl and Spinel saw how this unfolded before their eyes and Spinel laughing at the pint-sized ballerinas getting mad at Jamie.

"Jamie up here!" Steven calls out. "Steven?!"

Spinel stretches, bends and twists her arms reaching after the children making them stop their attack on the male.

"What seems to be going on?" Pearl questioned. Jamie explains to them that he's putting on the Nutcracker ballet to bring in that Christmas passion in the arts but two others who were supposed to be extra sugarplum fairies one caught the flu and the other twisted an ankle during a practice session from their home.

"That does sound really unfortunate." Said Pearl. "You're telling me, but I can't cancel the show right away, if only there were two others willing to take their place." He eyes at Pearl and Spinel.

"I can't believe you talked us into this." Spinel said fussing with her pointe slipper. "Come on, Spinel think of all the children." Steven said to her.

"I have to say, this does look really nice on me." Pearl made sure her ribbons are secure during the performance.

The show goes on without a hitch and Pearl's dainty dancing captivating the audience and Spinel trying to follow her along almost stumbling on her feet.

Steven videotapes the performance to remember this and encouraging Spinel to do her best as she and Pearl dance with the other young performers making the Nutcracker Ballet a splendid show.
