"What is this thing?"

Yellow Pearl was holding on to a vintage looking snowglobe with ornate design at the base done with gold foil with a lovely Christmas tree inside it surrounded by what looks like flakes of glitter.

"I don't know but it looks beautiful

"I don't know but it looks beautiful." Blue Pearl said quietly looking inside it.

"It really is and Connie said it's very important to her?" Steven tells them. "What kind of significance does this hold?"

"Family significance. This snowglobe is actually a family heirloom that belonged to my grandparents who passed it down to my mother when she was my age." She explains to the two pearls.

"But there is no snow in it." Says Yellow Pearl squinting her eyes at the heirloom in her hands. Connie carefully takes it back in her hands, "but watch closely." She gently turns it upside-down and back right side-up making the flakes of glitter fall onto the ornately designed Christmas tree. "They're called snowglobes because when you turn or shake them, it'll make it look like it's snowing inside." Steven explained.

Blue Pearl tries in turning it over gently seeing the glitter "snow" on the tree inside. "Are there any like it?" She asks demurely.

"This is a really old snowglobe and it's unique but there are other kinds you can find and make yourself there are lots of diy projects on Christmas crafting like this." Said Connie.

"I'll bubble your snowglobe so it'll be safe the trip home." Steven creates a pink bubble to protect this precious heirloom as he drives her home.

"So, you wanna make a snowglobe?" Lapis asked the pearls. Blue nods at the water gem. "Shouldn't be so hard." She leads them to a table where her some of her meep morps are laid on. "I made these for the this time of the year." She shows them her own kind of snowglobe she made and it was what either looked like a reindeer or a relatively small bear made from a chiseled chunk of solid concrete.

"You're gonna need one of these jars, water, glitter, this tough-looking industrial strength glue Steven brought over and something to make so it'll look like well... what I made." She shows them the mason jar snow globe she made herself. "It could also be made into a Christmas ornament for your tree."

Thanks to Lapis Lazuli's little lesson, the pearls made their own diy snowglobes and snowglobe ornaments amazed by how humans created such curious yet oh so beautifully fragile objects like this.
