As we sat there in silence, I looked over at the Emperor in slight disbelief. He had actually upheld and kept his word. But...there had to be some kind of catch.

"So what's the catch?" Kai asked bluntly and on cue, taking a swig from whatever he was drinking. The Emperor just laughed at this and smiled.

"There is no catch." He said. "The only thing I want, is for you not to kill any of my citizens. They hurt you...fine. Hurt them back. But dont just kill people. I had to see how dangerous you were. There is one thing though.." He said trailing off.

"So the catch." Kai stated, not leaving any room for questions.

"Yes. The...'catch' as you call it, is this. There's someone who's been drugging up my people, and we're monsters enough as it is. Find them and kill them, then you can use whatever supplies I have at your will to escape and run away. Get off Nexanveer." Said the Emperor, now in a fully serious tone.

"So. Essentially, you want us to be bounty hunters." I said, finishing my drink, and then sighing.

He looked at me and paused before nodding gravely. "Yes. But you will get all my supplies and you will get to purchase whatever you need on here until you leave." He said.

I looked at Kai, who in turn looked back at me. We both had a silent kind of conversation before nodding and agreeing.
"Okay Emperor. We'll do it." I said standing up and nodding, with Kai by my side. Kai stood up and finished his drink before wiping some blood off of his face and looking at me.

"We do have one request though...." I said, making sure the Emperor knew we were both in control here.

"Yes?" He asked cocking his head.
I paused before taking a breath and looking at Kai once more.

"We need a place to stay. If were gonna be hunting some mutant drug dealer, we need housing." I said, exhaling a breath I didnt know I was holding and chewing on the inside of my cheek.

The Emperor looked at us with a moment of consideration and then nodded. "Done." He said, And that was all. We shook hands before he gave us directions of a place to go to and sent us on our way, telling us to get back to him when we were done with our 'hunting'.

Kai and I headed out of the building and back into the streets of the market place, filled with three and four stacked houses. I turned on the communicator on my wrist and waited until I heard Memphis's voice.

"Rhent...? Hey Rhent, are you there??" She called out, urgently, and obviously worried about me.

"Hey Memphis, yea, I'm here. So...me and Kai have got some news. But we uh...might look  a little beat up and...rough." I said hesitantly. I mean, I didnt want to scare her.
She said okay and we agreed to meet in the middle of the market place. It was a very populated place, so no one would know the difference and we'd be okay.

Soon enough we showed up to the market place. Kai and I had on grey cloaks as to hide our cuts and bruises and his obviously ripped arm, as well as the gash in my chest. We otherwise had on our now shredded special vests, and regular clothes. As we approached the group, Memphis and Rayven were on the lookout, with Halcyon and Cyrus in the middle, and Beckett, Atlas, and Zeke in the back.

When we got there, there was some big, wolf-hybrid guy, who was very obviously on drugs of some sort, touching up and feeling Memphis. He was clearly trying to get her to be into him, but she wasn't buying it.

"Come on babyyy..." He growled at her.
She shook her head and gave him a stern look.

"Noooo, like I've already said, I told you, I have a man. You can leave now." She said, pushing him away. Rayven was simultaneously reaching behind her back for a weapon, yet not allowing anyone else to see.

"Hey man, didnt you hear her? She said enough, she has a man. So Go." I said as I walked up, pulling my hood off. He looked at me and smirked before letting go of her and pushing a finger at me.

"Listen punk, I dont know who you are, or uh...where you're from, but you ain't welcome here. So get outta here." He said, pushing me and whispering the last part.

My powers actived by themselves, turning my neck into a thick muscle of dark green scales and my teeth elongated on instinct. Everyone in the group physically tensed and took a breath as I took a step towards the wolf man. He smirked and took a step towards me.
"So. What're you gonna do, little man?" He asked.

I stared at him and cracked my neck before standing up straighter, revealing just how tall I was. He was like six foot eight. I was six six. "First of all," I said, "I'm her man. Second of all, you're gonna see just what I'm going to do."
I said as I exhaled a long breath I didnt realize I had been holding.

He snarled and raised his hand but before he could do anything, my green, stone-hard arm shot out and grabbed his, twisting it around and kneeing him in the stomach, causing him to double over.
"Uh uh...." Kai said quietly, knowing what was about to happen. On cue, I picked the wolf man up and while he was on his feet, side kicked him across the marketplace, sending him crashing through stalls and vendors, my cloak exposing my shredded armor.

I saw Memphis looking at me wide eyed and in shock and I slightly shrugged a bit looking at her shyly. "Um.. I'm Sorry babe..?" I said, before turning my attention back to the wolf man charging me.
