I grabbed some rope from my backpack and tied it, throwing it around the wire. "So. Here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna ride this wire like a zipline, all the way to the other building." I said. "What lies on the other side of that building we dont know. But, we make our way through it, to that bridge, and to the bigger building, and then we should almost be at the ship. Got it? Good."
I looked at everyone and gave a quick thumbs up before whooping and jumping off the building, holding onto the rope, and sliding down the wire at breakneck speed. As I was about halfway down I clicked on my communicator, calling Kai. "Hey, you're behind me right?" I asked him, rushing down the wire.
"Yea. Why, what's up?"
"Well um, were coming up on the roof and theres like two guys. Were gonna have to take them out, just letting you know." I called out before clicking off the watch.
As I approached the roof, I got a better view of it. It was alot like the other one, vents and all that, only this one had giant glass panes for you to look into the building.
Quickly I let go of the rope and dropped on one of the guys, kicking out his legs and quickly breaking his neck in the process, and then taking his body and dumping, no- more like throwing, his body off of the roof of the building.
As soon as I had thrown the body over the roof,
I spun around to face the other hybrid.
Kai had landed on the roof as well, followed by Beckett and then the others.I ran after the last guy, who charged at me in return, and I ducked as soon as he swung, moving to the side and shoving him into Kais fist. Kai kicked him towards me, and I turned my arm into a hammer, smashing him in the face with it. At the last second, he opened wide and bit my arm, though it was hard as a rock.
As he did, I looked down into the glass pane behind him on the ground of the roof, and punched him in the stomach, forcing him to bite my arm even harder. While he did that, I shoved as hard as I could and jumped, with him in front of me.
Everything kinda moved in slow motion from there. We were both in the air for a few seconds and then what seemed like a second later we were crashing through glass, and then smashing against the hard cold floor beneath us, his body taking most of the blow. All the while I heard Memphis and Kai screaming my name while I fell, just before I hit the ground with a groan and rolled off him. It was like a fifteen foot fall, but like I said, he took all the damage.
I rolled off of the dead hybrid with a groan and took a breath. "Hey you guys, I'm alright. Just like, throw a rope and come down. Itll be okay." I said as I stood up.
The room was wide and big and obviously tall, and it was empty. Like there was literally nothing there, except for a few doors.
It was almost....eerie.After i was done looking around and gave the okay, they threw the rope down and slowly came in, landing one by one. As we searched the separate doors, we finally landed on one that seemed to be the last one. It was a metal door that seemed to open up to sort of a metal platform with glass windows on the left and right. The platform led to a metal bridge with glass windows as well, and across the bridge was the other bigger building.
As I stepped onto the platform, I heard my boots hit the floor and realized just how high up we were. A fall from here would kill any one of us. Nevertheless, we pushed on.
It was all grey steel that had lights of red splashing over it due to the clouds everywhere.
As we were walking there was a creaking noise and ar first I didnt know what to think. It was fine for a while. But then it happened.
Three monstrous hybrids that were crocodile like came crashing through the roof, raining down glass everywhere, bending and denting the floor. The first one came at us, but Atlas made a forcefield with the gravity and gravational fields around us, and then shoved him back into the other two. That gave time for Beckett and Kai to start fighting one of them themselves.
Beckett froze one in place while Kai shot him In the head with the crossbow. Next, Beckett made an ice sword and quickly sliced its arm off, then plunging the sword into its chest and breaking it off, causing it to fall down dead.As the first one that came charging at us did so again, Kai raised up the dead one and made it punch the other one, HARD. He made him hit him and then bite his neck and grab onto him, and then Kai kicked them both over the edge of the glass bridge, hearing them shatter and break on the hard ground below with a wet crunch.
As I turned around to face the last one, I was a second too late. He punched me in the stomach and then uppercut me so hard I flew back. I went to stand up and he grabbed me, smashing my face in the glass. As he was doing this, all the others had been worried about me, but I told them all to get across.
At this point they were all across the bridge and he bit my arm with a resounding crunch.
He then kicked me and sent me flying across the bridge. As he did, I tumbled and rolled, falling and spinning across it. But what nobody saw was the last three ninja stars I threw.I ran back towards everyone, as fast as I could and pressed the button, the large croc hybrid running behind me. The shurikens all exploded and ripped the bridge in half, destroying what I was once standing on.
I jumped as I ran and landed just on the edge of the bridge and Halcyon ran to pick me up, Atlas behind her. They picked me up, and she began to heal me, pressing on my ribs and arm. And then suddenly before anyone knew what was happening, the Hybrid stood up from behind her on the edge of the bridge and shoved his claws through both of us, stabbing and slicing both me and her. I saw her face go a paleish green before the light left her eyes and my vision blurred heavily.
Halcyon fell in my arms, slumping and I fell backwards as well, landing in Atlas's arms. It all began to fade out and turn to grey before I saw Cyrus slice the Hybrids head off with a blade of fire and then knocked his body off of the bridge with a flaming kick. That was when it all went to black.
