"Hey girl," Remy said as soon as Virgil came into the house.

"Hey Remy," Virgil's reply was quiet. He was still numb with happiness and shock and couldn't muster anything louder.

"Why you home early?"

"Shit happened. Why are you home?"

Remy shrugged. "Study leave. Though I haven't been doing much studying. Now tell me what happened. Was it something to do with Roman?,"

Virgil felt a smile play on his lips, "Maybe,"

Remy gasped dramatically and placed a hand on his chest before grabbing Virgil's hand and pulling into the living room. "Ok spill,"

Virgil sighed and ran though what had happened quickly, feeling himself blush when he got to the part where Roman arrived. When he had finished talking he glanced up at Remy, who's face was a strange contorted mix of anger and happiness.

"Ok first: I'm gonna kill a bitch,"

Virgil smiled again. "No need. Logan was yelling up a storm at her afterwards. I think he's got it covered,"

Remy thought for a second. "No I'm gonna kill a bitch. Second-," he took a deep breath, "-awwwwww, that's so cute!"

Virgil's face flared again and he nodded slightly, not quite avoiding the other boys eye but not quite meeting them either. He leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes, listening to Remy talking happily next to him.

"-can't tell if you're still listening to me anymore,"

Virgil jerker his head forward. "Huh? Sorry, got lost in thought,"

Remy chuckled and swung his legs down from where they had been resting on the sofa. "Well I should probably go and actually study now since that's the only reason I'm here,"

"Ok, good luck with that,"

Remy faked a grimace as he headed up to his room, leaving Virgil alone with his thoughts. He soon followed in Remy's wake and made his way up the stairs, taking them two at a time, which  he instantly regretted when he flopped down onto his bed. He was constantly forgetting just how unfit he was as his legs burned after the short bound up the stairs. It was quite pathetic honestly.

He laid still for a few minutes before flipping into his back to stare at the ceiling and kicking his boots of in the process. Virgil out a sigh and finally let himself proved what had happened. So many thoughts were buzzing through his head but his mind kept returning to one.

I like you.

Roman's words in Thomas's classroom still felt surreal to him, it was hard to process that he had actually said them. The conversation they had had just before Thomas had came back was also still bouncing around in his skull. It all kind of blurred together but the words date, soon and cinema had definitely come up.

The purple haired boy continued to stare at the ceiling, the conversation stuck on a loop on his head and his mind slowly drifting.

Virgil closed his messages and checked the time. 1:55. He sighed and stood up, running a hand through his hair before adjusting his jacket and heading towards his door in search of food. He hadn't eaten since half seven and was starving.

After he had inhaled half of the food in the fridge he made to return to his room when he was stopped by the sound of muffled...sobbing? He immediately went to Remy's door and knocked in it gently.

"Remy...? You ok?"
