Call Me Toby

Emily's POV

"Hi Toby" I hear Connor say and I furrow my eyebrows. Tobin is here?

I got up from my bed and walked to Connor's room only to see my phone in his hand.

"Mommy is sleeping Toby" he says and I clear my throat

"Connor" I say

"Help Toby! She's awake!" He yells and I ask for the phone

"Say bye to Toby I mean Tobin" whoops

"Bye bye Toby" he says and I grab the phone

"Go wake up Auntie Sof" I tell Connor and he runs out the door "Good morning Tobin"

"Good morning Emily and you sure it's Tobin? Or Toby?" She says laughing

"Sorry it kind of slipped he says Toby a lot it kind of stuck" I apologized

"It's okay you can call me Toby" my eyes widened

"You sure? I know you don't like being called Toby" I say

"I'm sure plus now my two favorite people are going to call me Toby" she says and I smile

"We're your favorite people are we now" I tease

"You guys are" she says and my heart melts

"I forgot to apologize! I'm so sorry he called you! I didn't even know he came into my room and took my phone he must've woken you up it's pretty early" I say

"It's okay Emily! I was already up either way I had gone for a run"

"Still I'm really sorry! You must be really busy now so I'll let you go. Bye Toby" I say

"No wait! I was actually going to call you later but since Connor called me and you're on the phone already can I ask you something?" She says

"Sure what is it?"

"Would you like to go out to dinner today with me?" She asks and my eyes widened at the question

"Are you asking me out on a date Tobin?" I question her

"Um uhh um yes?" She says

"Is that a maybe or yes Toby" I chuckle

"Yes I'm asking you out on a date" she says "so will you go out to dinner with me today?"

"I'd love to" I say and a smile spreads across my face

"Does six sound good?" She asks

"Six sounds good" I say

"Send me your address? I'll pick you up" she says

"Okay I will. See you later Tobin" I say

"See you later Emily and oh you don't have to go all fancy, wear sweatpants for all I care you'll look beautiful either way" she says and I blush

"Such a smooth talker are we now Tobin" I tease

"Maybe? Okay I'll see you at six bye Emily" she says

"Bye Tobin" I say and hang up the phone

I lay on the bed with a big smile on my face

"What has you all smiley Em" Sofia asks me and I see her with Connor

"Yeah mommy what has you all smiley" He furrows his eyebrows and tilts his head

I went over to them both and covered Connor's ears

"Tobin asked me out to dinner" I tell Sof

"Atta girl Tobin!" She yells

"You knew!" I whisper yell

"Knew what mommy" Connor asks me as he tilts his head

"Nothing bub" I kissed his forehead "oh and Sof you're babysitting him"

"Sounds good to me" she says and takes Connor

Tobin's POV

"AL! ALEX! ALEXANDRA!!" I yell

"What Tobin why are you yelling!" Alex entered my room with a bat

"Calm down Babe Ruth anyway I asked Emily out to dinner!" I said excitedly

"And what did she say" Alex sat down next to me on the bed

"She said YES!!" I yell

"Tobin you're acting like if you proposed to her and she said yes" Alex uncovered her ears from my yelling whoops

"One day I'll propose to her but let's not get ahead of ourselves Alex let's take one thing at a time this is our first date what do I do!" I ask Alex

"Well first thing is first fancy or not fancy" She asks me

"Uhhh fancy?" I say

"WRONG" she yells and slaps my head

"First ouch and second there's right or wrong answers?! Is there a book I need to have!" I ask

"Tobin don't overthink it! Do something that comes from the heart not from the wallet" she says and I nod

"Okay I got it!" I stand up and leave the room

"Are you going to tell me!" Alex yells

"No!" I yell back

Emily's POV

"Do I tell her about Connor? If so how! Sof this isn't just something that I say! What if she doesn't like Connor anymore what if she leaves right after I tell her" I whisper yell

"Em she's not gonna leave you for something that wasn't even your fault, she's going to understand and she'll still love Connor either way now please calm down" Sof hugs me and we hear a knock on the door

"I'll answer it you go grab your sweater and say bye to Connor"

I went to my room grabbed a coat and went into Connor's room where I see him playing with his cars

"I'm leaving buddy but I'll be back later tonight okay? I love you" I kissed his forehead

"Okay mommy I love you" he waved at me and turned around to play with his cars again

I got to the living room and I see Tobin in black jeans with a lilac t-shirt and her gray beanie with white converse. I wore my black ripped jeans, a white hoodie and white converse.

"You look beautiful" Tobin says and I smile

"Awww that's gross now get out of here go on your date and I want her back before 11pm Tobin Powell Heath!" Sof yells

"Yes ma'am" Tobin yells back

We get to her car and she opened the door for me

"Thank you" I smile at her

"Now lets go out on our date and go eat" she says and she drives off.

"Nothing fancy right? Because if you haven't noticed I'm not dressed for something fancy" I say

"Not fancy I promise" she says and I smile
