PLEASE READ ~
Hello, welcome to chapter nineteen. A few things, first, I just noticed it now I am so sorry. The quote above is a quote I did a little while ago. ASTRID'S LAST NAME IS NOT VANDENBURG. I had just finished a class when I wrote that and I have a teacher named 'Mrs. Vandenburg' and I wrote it in by mistake. So I hope that clears things up, Astrid's last name is Burke.
Next, I will be doing a major time skip for this chapter. Well major might be over doing it, but we're no longer in September we're kind of in the middle of November. I don't know what prompted me to do this but things were going kind of slow and this made things a little easier.
Nice and long chapter for y'all today <3
That's all, I hope you enjoy!

PART II - L I L Y
November 22, 2019
"Uno," I say smugly, narrow my eyes at the hooded boy in front of me.
Blade throws down his card and sighs in exasperation, making me giggle. "You really suck at this."
"I haven't play for awhile," was his excuse. I just shook my head and waited for him to play the wrong card so I could win.
It never came, instead he laid down a whopping 4+ card, making my eyes widen in shock.
"What?! How long have you had that?" I exclaim, standing up.
Blade was just laughing his head off and taking four cards off of the pile and handing them to me.
"I'm not taking those," I said stubbornly. "You cheated."
Blade gasps incredulously. "Me? Cheat?" his muffled voice finally said. "I am offended."
I sit back down and pout like a four year old, throwing my cards at him in the process. Before we could start another game, my bedroom door opened, revealing Astrid and Jasmine. Astrid had her usual smile and Jasmine just looked uncomfortable. Like she usually was when Blade was around. I didn't blame her, she wasn't only uncomfortable, she was paranoid.
I had told everyone that Blade was my 'bodyguard' and the fake story. I said the mask was part of the protection blah blah blah. I barely remember what I said, I just know they believed it.
Behind Astrid and Jasmine was Vanessa, a girl I met in gym class who had recently started hanging out with us. I don't think Rym likes her much because of the way Vee looks at Damien, her feelings towards him had gotten stronger since then.
But Rym was actually out with Damien now doing who knows what, so I decided to invite the girl's over. We hadn't hung out for awhile with just us so I was craving some girl talk. Especially with everything that was happening. The past 2 months had consisted of me being nervous and paranoid, Blade following me a lot, and Carter acting stoic and weird. The last one shocked me the most. He didn't talk with me much, he almost looked nervous and I wondered if it had something to do with the brick thing. Which he still has not updated me on.
So I'm not exactly very fond of Carter at the moment, he's being secretive and sketchy. Believe me when I say I've had my fair share of that for the past 2 months and he was the one I actually hoped would be normal around me.
I guess I was wrong...
But on a happier note, Blade hasn't been that... horrible. My friends don't mind him. At least Astrid and Vanessa don't, and he's sort of becoming my best friend. Though I don't know much about him. He's so familiar it bugs me though, I feel like I'm missing something.
