Chapter Thirty-Two

C A R T E R
Everything was in slow motion.
Lily, just standing there vulnerable, was being dragged away by some pale, blonde dude.
Freaking Newbie! Newbie was in the van Lily was dragged to!!!
I tumbled out of the car and sprinted towards the pale dude who looked pretty bad, from what I could tell he was covered in scars and looked a little more well-built. He grabbed Lily's arms and slung her over his shoulder, sprinting away from me.
He threw her in a van a drove off just as I caught no.
"No," my voice broke. "No!"
"BLADE!!!" Astrid's terrified and frantic voice screamed. "What just happened!?!? Who was that!? Where is she?!"
"She's gone," I snapped, jogging back to Murray's car.
"What do you mean she's gone?!"
"Astrid please! I need to get back and find her now!"
With that said, I pulled out of the Starbucks driveway as fast as I could possibly go.
~~~
"What?!" Roy exclaimed. "How-what... we need to find her now or this whole thing will have been for nothing! Creed, get guys together. Find her. Brownes, do the same."
Murray walked out of the bathroom and looked around. "What's going on?"
"It's Newbie," I huffed. "He's not dead. Why is he not dead?! And Large! He's in jail for goodness sake! Who's after her now?!"
Murray looked shocked. "I-I um, Newbie's not gone?"
"No!"
He looked confused, mumbling incoherent words to himself. What is going on?! Why is he acting weird?
"Murray!" I snapped.
"Carter," Murray deadpanned. "You have to get her back."
And that was all it took.
~~~
I sped to the Dug Out. I didn't know where to begin looking for her so I went to the beginning. I was in a hurry, boss could be hurting her now. The idea made me sick. I pushed past all of the people, furiously looking around for any clues whatsoever.
Dylan.
"Dylan!" I roared over the noise.
Dylan was making his way into the 'secret' tunnel area of the Dug Out, he had to know something. I sprinted after him, grabbing him by the collar when I caught up.
