Sam's POV

We met up with Adam and Carter at the park and Adam seemed to be doing better then that last time I saw him. I know I still feel bad for what happened even though I couldn't have done anything. But we filled them in on what's going on and told them to do some research while we looked around. First we looked around the river and our hide out. There wasn't anything that seemed out for eh ordinary and nothing seemed out of place. So we went back to the guys to see if they found anything.

"Hey guys find anything new"

"No not much. Just that there is a cemetery nearby"

"Well that's something"

"Yeah I guess. But I was kinda hoping for more"

"It's whatever. As long as we have some info on this place"

"True"

I could tell Adam wanted to be of more assistance but didn't know how. Cart r was mainly just confused and a bit worried. He had just gotten into this and I feel bad for him. He shouldn't have to be a part of this.

"Ok I can't do this anymore. I need to say it"

"Ok Sam what's up"

"Carter you shouldn't be dragged into this mess. It's too much and we don't even know what's going on"

"It's his own choice Sam. Let him decide if he wants to be apart of this chaos or not"

"Fine but if he wants to leave you can't stop him. Understand Cas"

"Yes of course I understand"

"Well since I am Carter and only u know how I feel. So yeah I'm staying at least for this"

"See he wants to be here"

"Ok fine whatever"

We then slip up. Cas and Carter taking the woods near the shack, Katie taking the river, and Adam and I taking the outer area of the park. We decided since Adam had been the most recently hurt he would most definitely be paired with someone. Also Cas decided Carter shouldn't be alone because he's new to all of this.

Cas's POV

The group split up and searched for clues as to what might have happened. Carter and I started talking about school while walking around the woods. I started to feel like someone or something was watching us and possibly following us. I turned around a few times to make sure we weren't being followed.

"Cas are you ok"

"Ummm... Yeah no. I'm fine. Just a little worried"

"Ok well let's keep walking"

"Wait when did this fog set in"

I was looking around and I had  noticed I fog had rolled in. It wasn't heavy or hard to see in. But anything a few years away was too difficult to see. It didn't help that we were in the woods. We kept moving till we reached the shack in the woods. We went in and scouted the place. It actually might end up being a hang out place if we can keep squatters out. I decided to call Katie as she was the only person who didn't have a pattern.

"Hey Cas what's up"

"I was wondering if you had fog near the river. We just got hit with fog"

"Yeah it's weird. I check the weather and it says the day should be clear"

"Maybe it has something to do with this case. There is just something off about it. I'm going to Call Sam"

"Ok text me and let me know what she said"

"Ok talk to you soon. Bye"

There is definitely more to this then just some spirits looking for some fun.

"Carter what do you think"

"Honestly I don't know. There isn't much I can say. I mean it could mean there's more to this then we first though. Obviously there is more to this then just a spirit or 2 trying to have fun"

"Yeah. It seems like there's something off. The spirits seem to be trapped. Something is keeping them in this park and we need to find out what"

I pulled up Sam's contact and pressed call. I rung a few times then went to voicemail.

"Hey Sam it's Cassie. I don't know what's going on here but it might be bigger then anything we can do. A fog rolled in the surrounding area of the park. I was calling to see if it had reached you but you didn't pick up so yeah. Call back asap thanks bye"

Carter looked ate knowing I just left a voicemail. He had concern laced in his eyes. Though he hasn't known us very long he still wants to make sure we're all safe. I find that quiet sweet. I returned his concerned look but with sadness and some pain laced in my face. I tried my best to push down the feeling so I could work on this case with a clear mind but nothing was working.

"Cas she'll be fine. She's tough enough to take care of herself. Adam's with her and I don't think he'll let anything happen to them"

"I know but I can't help but think of the worst. Somethings going to happen and I can feel it"

"Ok well we should stay here till we get an answer from Sam"

"Ok yeah. I'll have Katie come here so we can stay together"

Cas: Hey Katie Sam didn't answer. Make ur way to the shack so we can stay together

Katie😼👍: Alright on my way

I was sitting on the floor with Carter by my side. Tears threatened to spill over but at this point I couldn't hold them back. It wasn't a pretty cry. It was every emotion I had held back. Every bad though, every thing I pushed down. It all spilled over and into the real world. Carter did the only thing I needed. He hugged me and if I wanted to I felt like I could have told him anything. This is what I need right now. My eyes were red and puffy, my nose way runny and red. My  jacket sleeves were covered in tears and snot. But Katie had gotten to the shake and questioned why my eyes were red. With trying to hold back and tell Katie I cried some more.
