18|Where Will This Go

Sam's POV

Cas and I went back to my house so she could look at the book I talked to her about. When she walked into my room she was shocked and I don't blame her. My room was a mess. Books all over the place open in different spots, bags of gear laying around and my laptop opened to a web page about supernatural things.

"Sorry about the mess"

"Nah it's fine"

I moved some books off my bed so we could sit and sat them on the floor. Then I walked over and fed my fish.

"So where do you want to start"

"The journal you were talking about preferably"

"Ok give me a sec"

I walked around my small room and couldn't find it so I looked in my closet. Ah there it is.

"Found it"

"Nice let's flip through it"

When we got to the part about the demon blood Cas looked a bit scared. She read it and turned the page to see if it continued but to both of our surprise the page was ripped out.

"Weird. I didn't look at this yet"

"Sam what the hell"

"What do you mean. You don't think I did this do you"

"Your the only one who had it so yeah unless you really didn't touch this"

"Look Cas I read up the part you just read. I promise I didn't rip the page out"

"Ok fine but that doesn't help us know who did rip it out"

"Let's just process what's going on with you and then we can figure that out"

"Ok yeah that's a good idea"

With that as and I went downstairs and found some food. I hadn't eaten since yesterday and Cas just looked like she needed it. We watched some BuzzFeed Unsolved while we ate. Cas eventually had to go home so I just went to my room and started drawing.

Cas's POV

When I got home I went straight to my room and pulled the box out from under my bed. I opened it and looked at the needles while constipating if I should actually do what I was about to do. My mind was swirling and the room was going dark. I picked the needle up and injected the red thick contents into my arm. The slight pain nudged me awake along with the kick of my addiction being fed. I closed my eyes as the sensation of everything took over my body. My sister walked in my room and scared me. I quickly hide the box and stood up. I answered her question and sent her to bed. Something felt different about tonight so I decided to see if my telekinetic powers had showed up. I put a pencil on my bed and tried to move it. I centered my power to the pencil and tried to do some loopy loops. Eventually the pencil lifted a bit and I lost concentration. It fell to the bed and I lost a little hope. I got pj's on and went to bed in hopes to actually get rest.

Katie's POV

I stayed up all night doing research on the case I cought wind of. The monster was taking kids around my age and I'm not sure what's up with that. I looked at what was in the news and got some books together so I could get a general idea of what I'm hunting. But soon enough I needed sleep so I went to bed. That night I didn't sleep very well.

Sam's POV

Katie had called me last night but I passed out before she called so I didn't see it till now. She didn't leave a message but she did text me.

Katie 😼: Hey so I found out the case I caught is a wendigo so when u get a chance call me so I can tell u more. Also we may want Cas to help and I have a plan kinda set up.

Sam: Hey Katie. Sorry I didn't answer I fell asleep. I'll call Cas and see what she says as soon as I wake up more but it all sounds good to me. Talk to u soon

With that I got out of bed and took a shower. It was Friday and for some reason we didn't have school. I didn't question it as it just gave me more time to talk to Katie and Cas in order to figure this case out. I got out of the shower and texted Cas.

Sam: Hey Cassie. Katie has a wendigo case for us if u want to join. I think we could use the help. Get back to me asap. Thx ttyl

I wasn't expecting Cas to answer me anytime soon so I went downstairs to find breakfast. As I was walking down the steps I realize Dash was up. He was on his phone in the dinning room. He looks over to me as I assume he heard me and he said good morning. I of course said good morning back. But then I got a pop tart and sat on the couch. I pulled my phone out and saw Cas answered.

Cassie 🐶: Hi yeah it sounds cool. Call Katie and get more info and we can go from there. Or do u just want to meet up. That might be better. But it's up to u guys

Sam: I'll talk to Katie and see what she wants to do

I decided Katie should be the deciding factor as she did catch the case. I called her and told her what Cas offered and Katie wanted to meet up at my house so we did. I cooked popcorn for us and we settled in the living room. Dash had joined us so we had to fill him in a bit.

Cas's POV

Katie and I meet up with Sam at her house so we could figure out what we want to do next. A bunch of ideas went around till I thought of the best thing

"Hey guys what about camping"

"What about it Cas"

"Well I think we could camp in the woods and get to it that way"

"Actually that's not a bad idea Cas"

"Thanks Dash"

"Yeah I agree with them. What about you Katie"

"It sounds like the only thing we all agree on so why not"

"Alright now we just need to get stuff together and permission from our parents"

We a called or texted our parents and they all said it was ok. So we started packing.
