56|A Spooky Halloween

Sam's POV

A good old salt and burn. That's what we need. And that's what we got. With it getting closer to halloween we decided to check out some of the attractions near by. We ended up finding it in PA. It's called Bates Motel. We happened to notice some odd occurrences happing in the area around it so why not go see the attraction and do a good old salt and burn. Cas and Carter came with me. Dash had school and Katie couldn't come with us for some reason. Looks like it's just the 3 of us. Time to get to work.

Cas's POV

Sam had come to me with the idea of going to a haunted house and I'm not really the one to go to those sorts of things. Real monster I get but people who work in those things are scarier to me. While the place we picked ended up having an actual ghost it was still gonna be interesting to go see a haunted attraction and have an easy hunt. Carter wanted to come so we had 3 people on the case. Sam's mom insisted on driving us. I knew Sam and I would be the biggest wimps there but I've got my boyfriend and Sam had her mom.

Carter's POV

Cassie had invited me to a haunted house thing with her and Sam so of course I was gonna go. I don't usually go to these kinds of things for the fact that I don't get invited or I just can't. Sam said this was supposed to be a pretty spooky one. Her words not mine. I was also told there was a real ghost actually haunting Bates Motel. So haunted attraction here we come.

Sam's POV

I had to pack the essentials for the hunt but I had to make sure my mom didn't know what was going on. While I'm sure she has some idea of the truth I don't want to drag her into this. With the car packed we went to pick up Cas and Carter. Then we were on our way to the Bates Motel. It was a long drive. About 2 hours. It was worth it tho. When we got there we decided to just go through everything. This year instead of a haunted hay ride it was just a haunted walk in the woods. That lead is to the corn maze and lastly the motel it's self. Let's walk you through how this went down. The first attraction was the walk in the woods. There were things like a trailer park set up and a dino section. It was pretty cool. Lots of jump scares and some pretty spooky make up. I hadn't seen any signs of a ghost anywhere so far. Next was the corn maze. I was expecting people to actually be in the corn but no one was. There was a creepy clown section and a meat locker section. A guy with a chainsaw spooked me. Still no sign of a ghost yet. Guess it's in the actual motel part. As we enter and the door closes behind us I grab my mom's hand and Cass grabs Carter's. This was supposed to be the big finally of this place. The first room had a chair and a fire place with another door leading to the rest of the motel. There was a guy who opened the door and began our "tour" of the place. As we rounded each corner and went through each room I was scanning for any signs of a ghost. Paying little to no attention to the attraction it's self. We got to a room filled with dolls and an actress with really cool make up. There was this other girl in the corner who seemed to be crying. I didn't say anything about it till we got out. I knew there wasn't much we could do till we got out and talked to some employees. After getting scared to death a few times we finally made it out. I pulled Cas to the side and talked to her about what I saw.

"Did you see the little girl crying"

"What no"

"Really? She was in the doll room"

"I mean I did get a weird vibe from that room"

Cas's POV

As Sam and I talked about the creepy doll girl Carter talked to the employees to see who believed in ghosts and who would help us. We ended up talking to this women named Sally. She had seen the little girl before and had reported all the usual signs of a ghost. With a confirmed case we started doing some digging on any girls that had gone missing. After a bit Sally had remembered the girl was really attached to one of the dolls. So after the attraction had closed we went in and tried to do our thing.

Carter's POV

While Cas took the front and Sam followed shortly behind Sally and I stayed back a little just in case. Going through this a second time with out all the actors made it not as scary.

"What got you guys into this stuff"

Sally was curious on why some kids would want to be apart of this.

"Well I got dragged in because of a wendigo and because I fell in love with Cas. But Sam and Cas got into this some other way. I'm pretty sure how ever they didn't intend for this to be how they spend their free time"

"What's a wendigo"

"It's a monster that eats people and can pretty much only be killed my burning then to death"

"Oh ok"

"Yeah it's gross"

We eventually go to the doll room and we all started looking for the doll Sally had described to us. A small pail doll with pastel pink checks, beautiful ginger hair, a pretty mint green dress, and some brown flats. After about 5 minutes I think the little girl caught in to what we were doing and showed herself.

"You can't have her! No one can!"

The girl screamed and vanished will holding the doll. At this point she could have gone anywhere. We decided it'd be best to split into pairs. Cas and I took the last half of the attraction while Sam and Sally took the beginning. As we rounded the corner of the "kitchen" we saw the girl crying with the doll just out of reach. Of course though, Cas had a plan and it involved me being the distraction. So I took a few steps towards the girl and as she noticed me Cas hid.

"No!NO! You can't have her. No one can!"

It seemed this doll represented someone or something very important to the girl. I hate when I see such young spirits turn into this. Time to put her soul to rest. Cas had enough time to grab the doll and set it in fire. As we watched the girl disappear in the flames I couldn't help but feel bad. Something really bad most have happened for that to happen to such a young girl. With the ghost handled it was time to go home. The 2 hour drive home was not as nice as the drive up. Cas had fallen asleep so I just had he spend the night at my place. As Sam pulled away I sighed in relief that the day was finally over. Time to get some well deserved rest.

Hey guys hope you liked this spooky chapter. I wanna do more stylized writing when writing these chapters but I'm just not sure it'll be as good. We'll see I guess. I have a few filler chapters/set up chapters coming your way so stay tuned lol. Also sorry for not posting last week. Oh and have some spooky cookies. *gives y'all spooky cookies*
