38|Start Of The Hunt

Sam's POV

The fireworks stopped and we went back in and went down to the arcade before it closed. There weren't too many people there as most of the kids were younger and had to be in bed soon. So we enjoyed the arcade while the other families got ready for bed. I could tell Cas was getting tired after 30 minutes. We had a long day so I called it a night.

"Ok guys all this will be here tomorrow and we just got here today so let's go back to the room"

"I second that decision"

"Alright I'll go with you guys"

The three of us went back to the room where the moms were waiting for us.

"There you guys are. I was about to go down and get you. We have a breakfast plan tomorrow to we need to get up at a decent time"

"Ok we'll get to bed"

The moms were in bed and pretty much asleep when i really was ready for bed. Cas was also passed out and soon Katie and I would join her.

"Alright good night Katie"

"Night Sam"

With that the room fell silent and dark. As sleep took over my body and my mind calmed I heard what I thought was screaming. I jolted up and looked around the dark room. There was a blue glow from the cable box telling me it was 12:30. I chalked it up to a kid had a nightmare. After I fell back asleep I was woken up by Cas. She was rambling and pacing. Everyone was awake but no one was really paying attention to Cas. My mom was on the balcony, Katie's mom was in the shower and actually now that I look around I don't see Katie anywhere.

"Hey Cas where did Katie go"

"Oh your awake. Well she went to the front desk I think"

"Ok. So what's up"

"Not much just had a strange dream that I think might come true"

"Well I can hear what it was"

"So there might be a shape shifter in the parks"

"What do you mean by that"

"I mean someone or more accurately something is killing kids in the park. They have to be one of the characters. Ya know someone who can go anywhere and do anything without the guests thinking it's weird"

"Alright well that just made me suspicious of everyone in the park. Even if they aren't a worker here they could switch into a guest"

"Yeah I hadn't really thought of that. But we need to tell Katie"

"Yeah but my mom is the only one that has no idea what is actually going on"

"Yeah that's a problem. Maybe we could split after breakfast. You need and your mom go to like Epcot while Katie and her mom work on finding out more stuff here"

"That's a good idea. I'll bring it up at breakfast"

"Bring what up at breakfast"

Katie had walked in right as Cas and I where finishing our conversation. Well now we have to tell Katie.

Katie's POV

Cas filled me in on what was possibly going on and as the moms stepped in I went to the balcony with my mom.

"Ok mom there is possibly a hunt here"

"Yeah I kinda over heard. So let's go eat breakfast and then we'll figure that rest of this out"

"Alright"

We went back inside and got dressed for the day. We went to breakfast and it was nice. We joked about stuff and have conversations about the food. It was nice. Afterwards though we put the plan into action. Sam, Cas and Mrs Shannon went to Epcot while my mom and I stayed in the Magic Kingdom. The first thing we did was talk to the front desk and they seemed to already know my mom.

"Alright Jim there's another monster here so what are you offering up"

"What every you want. This thing is so much worse then last time"

"Wait mom what is he talking about"

"Well Katie you remember that time I took you here when you were 5. Well there was an actual ghost haunting the haunted Mansion. Your dad took you around the parks while I went hunting. He did question much"

"Oh ok proceed"

"So Jim I want free food for the rest of this trip and the next trip we do. Along with fast pass for everything for the next 3 trips. Oh and $200 gift cards for the gift shop. I'll need 3 of those"

"Alright Mrs. Virbrina I'll get on that right away"

The skinny man that my mom called Jim scrambled off to the back. I assume to get the gift cards, to program our fast passes and to notify his bosses of what was going on.

"Oh by the way Jim we'll need access to the underground"

"Right away Mrs. Virbrina"

I like my mom knowing the people here. It's really nice. About 2 mins passed them Jim and a woman came out from the back.

"You much be Virbrina. Well my name is Megan. I'd like it if we kept this quiet. I don't want anyone at the park to get scared"

"Alright my daughter and I will keep this as quiet as possible"

The woman that called herself Megan handed my mom the gift cards and went back to whatever she was doing in the back. My mom then told me to let Sam know we were going to be walking around the parks and what order they would be in. Magic Kingdom, Hollywood studios, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and maybe the water parks.

Cas's POV

While I believe Katie and her mom can take care of this thing. Disney is big and I feel Amazing and I should be helping. If only her mom knew what was going on.

"Hey Cas look"

Sam handed me her phone. On it was a text from Katie telling Sam what parks they would hit in what order. So for now we are safe. We were in line waiting for the next ride in Epcot and after this we would be going to get water and some food. The we'd be going to the Animal Kingdom. I was having fun don't get me wrong but it just felt a bit weird ya know. I handed Sam her phone back and looked up to see how close we were from getting on the ride. Looking around was a lot of cars and stuff to do with cars. We were in line for Test Track. It seemed like a fun ride so we got in line. Sam had already been on it but loved it. We already did Mission: SPACE so this was the next ride. This is so much fun. I love being here and knowing Katie has the monster under control made me enjoy this trip more.

"Cas calm down. We are almost to the front and you will love this ride. Don't worry about Katie. She's got her mom with her"

"Yeah your right"

"Alright girls give me some of your stuff. I'm going to put it in my bag"

I gave Mrs. Shannon my phone and water bottle and Sam did the same. I felt a little bad that Sam's mom had to carry asll that stuff but at the same time it she didn't seem to mind.

"Mom do you want me to carry anything"

"No I got it. Thanks for offering though"

With that we started designing a car then we got in and had 3 other people behind us. As the cars were set up where the 3 of us were in front and 3 more people fit in the backseat of that car I guess you could call it. But Sam was right it was fun. I had so much fun. We then finished off out water, got more water and food. Then we made our way to the monorail so we could go to the Animal Kingdom. Man this will be an eventful day.
