35|Just Some Fun In The Park

Dash's POV

The day started off like any other. But my sister had the week off as the doctors didn't want her to possibly pop a stich. Tuesdays were not my favorite day of the week but today is just mellow and chill. It's so close to the end of the year that most classes are rushing to give us our tests. I've been studying all night for the tests I have today. But still a chill day. No homework or projects. We had planned a group meet up after school around 4. So I headed to the park with Sam and apparently we were the first there so we sat around and waited for the others.

"How are you"

"As good as someone can be when they got the crap kick out of them and they so have stitches"

"Yeah that's true"

"Sorry I'm just a little pissed that I'm limited in my movement"

"It's ok I understand Sam"

We then just sat around waiting. Cas was the first one to show up and Carter followed close behind. They seemed to be a bit more friendly then I remember. Eh I'll just chalk it up to me not really being in the loop as of late. We then were just waiting for Katie and Adam. It to then about 30 minutes to show up but that's ok.

"Ok so I have called us all here because I think we need to put some happy memories in this place. It's a wonderful park and I don't think we want all our memories of this place to be bad"

"Yeah Cas is right. Her and I would have some amazing times down here. It sucks that it's been a bit ruined"

"Yeah so let's change that and put new memories in this place"

Cas and Sam went back and forth with a bit more of what we could do and what they used to do. We decided to unclog the river a bit. There's this nice waterfall near what we call the ship rock and it often times gets clogged or something along the lines of that. So we make our way to the river and get to work on moving all the leaves out of the water. It's quite fun actually. It's easier when there's only like 2 or 3 people so it's not to crowded but we worked it out so Sam and Cas were working on the major water fall with the rest of us worked a few feet away on the smaller water falls if you can call them that. But we all had fun singing songs we all knew and talking about some drama in our lives.

Cas's POV

Things seemed to be going go. Everyone was smiling and having fun. When we finished clearing out the river we went to the tables and continued to talk about random things. It was a lot of fun just the 6 of us hanging out and having fun. Eventually we ended up in the hide out. Sam was looking for glass and cool rocks for her collection, Adam was talking with Sam while she was looking in the river bed for glass and stuff, Dash was climbing the trees and finding a good spot to sit, while Katie, Carter and I were sitting on a fallen tree that was in the hide out. We were all having fun. But Katie became suspicious of Carter and I as we were being a bit more friendly then usual.

"So what's up with you two"

"What do you mean"

"Obvious something has changed between you two. So what happened"

"Nothing happened"

"Yeah right"

I was going to continue denying the fact that anything happened but Carter stepped in.

"We admit we like each other"

"Finally jeez. Took you long enough"

"Wait what"

"I kinda figured you guys liked each other but I was waiting for you guys to tell each other. But Carter if you hurt Cas in anyway I will hurt you"

"Well it's a good thing I don't plan on hurting her"

Katie then left and hung out with Adam and Sam. Dash was still in the tree above Carter and I but he didn't make his presence known till Katie left.

"If you two start kissing I'm out"

"Oh shut up"

Carter may have had the confidence to answer but I was too busy trying to hide the blush that was creeping across my cheeks. But Dash had called everyone back so we could play truth or dare. We always had fun playing and Carter had never played with us before so why not. Sam started the game off.

"Ok Cas truth or dare"

"Ummmm truth"

"Alright I it true that you love being apart of this friend group"

"Hell yeah. Ok my turn to ask someone"

Carter's POV

The game of truth of dare had started up rather smooth. Nothing crazy was asked or dared. It seemed to be going well. And I bet your expecting a but. But nothing we all were having an amazing time and we all were smiling and laughing. It made me feel like a kid again. I hadn't had this much fun with just a game of truth or dare. The sun started to go down and we all took that as a sign of we need to head back home. Adam and Katie had left first leaving Dash, Sam, Cas and myself. We were all talking about school and stuff till Dash told Sam they need to head home. That left Cas and I alone.

"Hey I have to go soon too. But would you wait for my parents with me"

"Sure"

"Hey Cas"

"Hey Carter"

"What are we"

"Honestly Carter I don't know yet. I'm still working through some stuff"

"That makes sense. You'd tell me if I was doing something wrong right"

"Yeah of course I would. But don't worry actually that because I know you won't do anything wrong"

"Ok. Well that's my mom. I'll talk to you tomorrow"

"Ok goodbye Carter"

"Bye Cas"

I had gotten into my mom's car and she didn't question me till we got out of the parking lot. Other then the obvious 'who was that' question my mom didn't bother me about it. Once I got home I pretty much went straight to bed.

So this chapter was pushed back due to me not really focusing on it. But don't worry I'm not giving up on this book. I just need a break from time to time. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading.
