Emily's Pov
A groan escaped my lips when something heavy was placed on top of me. I shifted a little uncomfortably, burying my face into the softness of my pillows.
"Emily, wake up," I heard that annoying voice say next to my ear, causing a sudden pain to shoot through my head.
"My head hurts," I mumbled into my pillow. "Get off, you're heavy," I groaned out when she laid with all of her weight on me.
"Geez, you're so mean when you have a hangover," she sarcastically said before getting off of me. "Now come one, we wanna go to the amusement park." She exclaimed.
"I don't wanna go," I said as I moved slightly before opening my eyes to look at her.
"Well, I do. Everyone is already downstairs. We're just waiting for you," she said, and I just closed my eyes.
"I have work," I said, and I could hear her chuckle causing my eyebrows to furrow, my eyes still close.
"Amanda called a few hours ago asking where you were-" she paused "-I told her that you were still asleep and that you won't be coming in today."
"Why would you do that?" I asked as I slowly sat up on my bed. I rubbed my eyes with the back of my hands.
"Because when she called, it was already past eleven." My eyes shot open.
"How long did I sleep," I asked as I tried getting out of bed, but a groan escaped my lips when I felt that I had a massive headache.
"Well, its three in the afternoon, so you work out the math," she said, and I just sighed.
"Well, since I'm not going to work today, I'm going back to sleep to get rid of this god awful headache," I said before falling back on my bed.
"No, you're not." I heard her shuffle. "Take these and then get your an ass in the shower," she said. I opened my eyes, seeing her with a glass and two pills in her hand.
I let out a long sigh before sitting back up and grabbing the water and pills before drinking them.
"Do I have to go?" I asked as I set the now empty glass on the bedside table.
"Yes, now go get ready. I'll be waiting downstairs with the rest," she said, and I just rolled my eyes.
"Who else is going?"
"Luke, Kyle, you and I," she answered, walking out of the room before I could even open my mouth to say anything else. Of course, she invited Luke to come along.
I sighed as I quickly pulled my shirt over my head. I ran my hand through my hair. I sat down on my bed and promptly put on my shoes before grabbing everything necessary and walked out of my room and down the stairs.
"Finally," Val exclaimed as soon as her eyes landed on me. "Now come on, Luke and Kyle will be back in a few minutes," she said as she pulled my arm, dragging me out of my house and towards my driveway after I locked my house.
"Where are they?" I asked once she dropped my arm.
"Well, since you took so bloody long, they decided to go buy some beers because someone didn't have any," she said as she gave me a pointing look.
"I'm sorry that I don't like to drink," I said, causing her to let out a loud laugh.
"Yeah, says the girl who couldn't get enough alcohol in last night," she said, and I just frowned.
"I didn't drink that much," I scoffed.
"Sure," she said sarcastically. "So you gulping down five tequila shots, two beers and a martini are not drinking much?" She rhetorically asked. I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
"Okay, I guess I took it a little to far," I said just as the guys turned into my driveway.
"Well, on another note, you look good today. What made you decide to not dress in a work skirt and blazer?" She asked, and I just rolled my eyes.
"Well, I have this terrible friend who told me to start dressing more casual, so I just decided to rake her advise," I said as I gave her a smile before both of us got into the car. "Hey guys," I greeted as soon as I closed the door behind me.
"Hey, Em. Looking good today," Kyle said as he gave me a playful wink. I couldn't help but laugh when Val punched him in the shoulder.
"Yeah, and its all thanks to me that she's not looking like my grandmother today," Val said, and all of us just laughed.
"Do you girls want a drink?" Luke asked as he motioned to the half-full beer bottle in his hand.
"Sure," I said quickly, taking the full beer bottle he held out to me.
"Em, are you sure?" Val asked, causing my eyes to snap towards her. "I mean after last night...." She trailed off, and I couldn't help but smile at her.
"Don't worry, Val. It wasn't even the beer that got me drunk. I know what my limit is when drinking. Last night I just wanted to prove to you that I could have fun, and I guess I got a little carried away." I reassured her.
"Are you sure?" she asked, and I just nodded my head. "Alright."
The rest of the ride to the amusement park was filled with laughter as the guy kept cracking up jokes.
--------------
"Okay, we're all going to split up. Kyle and I and Luke and Emily," Valerie said as soon as we bought our tickets.
"Val," I scolded at her. "I thought we were going as a group," I said, and she just shook her head.
"We are. We're here as a group, and now we're splitting up, and later, we'll meet back here and form our group again," she said, and I just furrowed my eyebrows at her.
"That doesn't even make sense," I huffed as I crossed my arms over my chest.
"Whatever. We'll meet you guys back here in three hours," she said and immediately walked off, dragging Kyle along with her.
"Well then, I guess it's just me and you," I said as I turned towards Luke, who was standing there with his hands deep in his pockets. "Where should we go first?" I asked as I eyed all the rides.
"Well, there's this new ride-" he said, and my eyes grew wide when I realized what ride he was talking about.
"You wanna go on the Anaconda ?" I asked with a huge smile on my face.
"Sure, I wanted to go on that thing since I saw it on TV the other day," he said, and I beamed with excitement.
"Well then, shall we go?" I asked, and he just nodded his head before pulling me to the other side of the amusement park where the most accelerating ride is.
