Emily's Pov

Luke and I just stayed in the kitchen. We weren't saying anything, just enjoying each other's company. I suddenly start feeling sleepy. A yawn that comes out of my mouth confirms that.

I hear a chuckle come out of Luke, making me turn to him. "Tired?" he asks. I nod, smiling slightly and get off the counter, him following my actions. We walk into the living room where Valerie and Kyle were sitting on the couch. I'm assuming that truth or dare is over.

"Hey Val, I'm tired. I think I'll go home," I say to her.

"Oh yeah, sure. I can drive you," she says quickly.

"No, its okay Ill walk. It's not too far." I say as I begin to grab my jacket and slip on my shoes.

"Emily, it's dark outside. I'll drive you," she persists.

"No, it's okay, I'll get there fine. Stop worrying." she nods, giving in. I hug everyone goodbye and continue my way to the door. When I'm finally outside, I begin walking down the sidewalk.

I get about two blocks away from Luke's house when a car stops near me, and the window rolls down. I turn to see Luke in the driver's seat.

"Need a ride? I hear there's a thunderstorm coming," he says. I look at the sky and see there are dark clouds. I nod, not wanting to get rained on.

"Thanks," I say quietly. He looks at me and takes driving. There was no talking. More of comfortable silence. All you could hear was the slight drizzle of rain that had begun a few minutes after I got into the car.

By the time we got to my place, it was pouring rain. So much that you cant see within eight feet ahead of you.

"Do you want to come in? I don't think this is safe to drive in. Unless Valerie and Kyle are still at your place and-"

"No, they left, ill come in," he says, cutting me off while smiling. I smile back at him. Wow, I've missed this.

"Okay. Now we need to get through this rain," I said, laughing slightly. He laughs too... How I've missed that laugh. We make a plan to count to three before we run-up to the apartment.

"Okay. One. Two. Three," he says. We quickly pull the car doors open and run towards the apartment as planned. We finally make it to the door, and we look at each other before we start laughing hysterically. We're both soaked and shivering. More so shivering on my part.

I get my keys out and open the door quickly. I run down the hall to get us two towels to dry off with. I hand one to Luke, and he takes it while muttering a thank you.

"I'm gonna change into something else. I will try and find something for you too," I say while I wrap the towel around my shoulders. He nods, and I make my way to my room. I get some sweats and a tank top, changing into them. I then go to find something for Luke. I see some oversized basketball shorts and one of his old shirts in a box. I sigh and make my way to the living room, where I saw Luke sitting. I hand him the clothes, and he thanks me before walking into the bathroom to change.

I sit on the couch and turn on the tv while waiting for Luke. He soon comes out and sits next to me on the love seat.

"Want to watch a movie? I hate thunderstorms." I say, looking at Luke.

"Yeah, sure. What do you want to watch?"

"Something scary?" I asked. He nods quickly while smiling. I smiled too and put it in the disc. I run back to the couch and plop down.

Halfway through the movie, my eyelids feel heavy, and I lean on Luke's arm. He slowly puts his arms around me and puts his head on top of mine and breathes in deeply. We were both cherishing this moment.

And then I fell asleep in his arms. The arms of my first love.
