Luke's Pov
"So you just blew up on her?" Kyle asked confused as he sat the controller down onto my coffee table.
"I didn't want to, its just she kept asking questions and I didn't want to tell her what happened" I sighed.
"I understand. I guess its not the best thing to tell someone who has already been........" He trailed off as he looked at me.
"Yeah, and I couldn't tell her that it almost happened again" I said as I rested my head on the back of the couch.
"You have to make it up to her" Kyle said making my eyes dart to him to give him a confused look. "Like apologise, take her out to dinner. At least do something".
"I don't think she'd go anywhere with me, Kyle. I messed up bad and I don't think that I'll ever get the chance to show her how sorry I am" I said.
"You have to try, man" he said as he patted my shoulder. "Just think of a way the two of you could be alone".

Emily's Pov
"You said you wouldn't bother me the entire week" I exclaimed as Valerie kept tugging at my skirt , like a toddler would.
"But I have no-one else to go with" she whined as she pouted slightly at me.
"No, I have work to do" I stated as I continued with the last few pages of paperwork I had left.
"Emily" she whined and I could just feel my insides start to crumble. "Please?" She asked in a small voice and I just sighed.
"Fine" I grumbled causing her to squeal like a little girl who just got the doll she always wanted.
"Hey Amanda, I'm going out for a few hours. Call me if anything important comes up" I said and she just nodded her head with a smile on her face.
*******
"Why are we in here?" I asked Valerie as she kept dragging me to different aisles.
"Because I need something cute" she stated as she grabbed a pair of blue lingeries.
"Why?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Because, Kyle asked me to buy something sexy for tonight" she said, not even looking at me.
"Why? What are you guys doing that you need....these?" I asked with my nose skrunched up as I stared at the thong she had in her hand.
Valerie looked up at me like I was crazy. "What do you think I need to look sexy for?" She asked and I just shrugged my shoulders. "We're spicing things up in the bedroom tonight" she said and I immediately pulled a face of pure disgust.
"That's not something I wanted to hear" I said as my mouth tugged inwards.
"Hey, just you wait when you first do it. You won't be able to get enough of it" she said.
I stayed quiet after she had just said that. Even though Valerie knows what happened to me in high school, I don't think she sometimes realise what she says until its to late.
"Oh god, Emily. I'm so sorry" she said as regret filled her eyes.
"I-It's fine. I think I'm just going to go get something too eat" I said quietly.
"Do you want me to go with you?" She asked and I just shook my head.
"No, just come get me when you're done" I said, walking away before she even had the chance to say anything else.
I sighed as I scanned the mall. The mall consisted of your every day clothing stores, such as Forever 21, Hot Topics, and so many more including Victoria Secret which I had just walk out of.
My eyes landed on a small coffee shop and I couldn't be more happier to trudge towards it.
The sound of a bell ringing startled me slightly when I entered the coffee shop.
"Can I help you?" A girl that looked to be not a day older than seventeen asked.
"Can I get a Caramel Frappe and a chocolate muffin?" I asked and she just nodded her head as she continued to twirl a piece of her bleach dyed blonde hair.
I sighed as I slowly walked over to a two seated table across the room. I took a seat and immediately took my out my phone.
I sighed as I read all the texts from Amanda saying how I have a few new clients.
Time passed extremely fast as I continued texting Amanda about when to set dates for all the meetings I had to do with the clients.
"Here you go" I heard a high pitch voice say causing me to look up only to see the girl from behind the counter.
I couldn't help but pull a face of disgust when I took in the sight before me. She looked like a typical high school slut, if that's even the best word to describe her.
How could the manager even allow her to work here dressed like that. The poor girl's skirt is barely long enough to cover her ass. Her white button down was sitting completely tight on her and the fact that she was wearing a red bra made it even worse.
Her blue eyes stared at me as I continued to take in her disturbing appearance before she finally walked away, slightly limping to the extremely high, high heels she was wearing.
I sighed as I looked down at my caramel frappé with my muffin sitting right beside it.

"God, Emily. I have been going through the entire mall in search for you" Valerie exclaims as she plops down on the chair on the opposite side of the table.
"Why didn't you just call?" I asked as I sipped the last of my frappé.
"I guess I could've done that" she said and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"Well let's go. I'm done here" I said as I left the money on the table before following Valerie out of the coffee shop.
"I saw this cute little dress shop with the most amazing dresses" Valerie said making me crash my eyebrows together.
"And why are you telling me this?" I asked a little confused, earning a scoff from her.
"Because, we're going dress shopping for you. You need different styles of clothing in your closet. Those work outfits ain't cutting it" se said making me roll my eyes at how forward she was.
She has always actually criticised my choice in clothing. Even though I think it's a major step up from the outfits I use to wear in high school, she thinks its to sophisticated. That I need to dress more my age and act more like it to.
But what Valerie doesn't realize is, is that I actually have a job where I have learned to be more mature. I'm not as fun and lively as she is because she is a hairdresser. No, I'm mature and grown up because I'm the youngest one in the company and due to the fact that every one is so sophisticated, I have to be as well.
Meaning, there's no time for parting and having fun. There's not even time for me to be in a relationship but Valerie always gets me out of these things, and my boss being the person she is actually allows it because she thinks of me as her own daughter. Ever since I started at the company she has told me that I'm to mature and that I should go out and experience life, but I just don't want to.
And nobody seems to understand that. I have worked so hard for everything I have and I'm not, under no circumstances going to destroy my career by having fun.
Nothing is more important to me than my job is.
