Chapter 13. Weak Noodle

(remember how i said that this book was to just mess around and that i had funny ideas? well this is one of my few chapters where i question my sanity. i also havent slept well so-)

(oh yeah you might also be questioning the choice of title. dont worry i was too)

POV: Grian

Location: Watcher's Lair

I hear soft breathing from somewhere around me. I open my eyes and see a purple glow across the room. I look around, and see that I'm in a small and dark cell. The only source of light was a torch many blocks away. Down the hall, more precisely.

I try and move my hands, but they were tied together by a black rope that was glowing. These look familiar...

My eyes widen as I recognize what they are.

They were magic dampening ropes, used for when you don't want someone to use their magic. In my case, it's called energy, but the rope still has the same effects. They were practically unbreakable. Even though I'm strong, I wouldn't be able to rip these off my wrists.

When you have a magic dampening rope on, it prevents someone from using their magic. If you have as much magic as I do, it can actually cause harm. This applies to Tier Aurum and Tier Argentum. For example, I'll die if I don't use my magic for a certain period of time. You could just let your aura shine like normal, but that would've given me away quickly. To deal with that, I'll go to my personal home and just use my magic for almost everything I do before seeing anyone in person again.

If you're like Xisuma, where you have magic but not as much as I do, you'll just get exhausted easily. Tier Purpura and lower don't have enough magic to die from lack of use.

I scoot over to where an unconscious Xisuma laid. I nudged him with my foot, gently shaking him side to side.

"Xisuma." I quietly whisper. "Xisuma, wake up." He didn't wake. I kicked him a little harder.

"Xisumavoid, please, for the love of God, wake up!" I hissed. His eyes slowly fluttered open. I sigh in relief and a little annoyance. How that is possible, I have no idea. He turned his head to me. I sat against the wall, arms resting on my knees as I bring them closer to my chest.

"Where are we?" He asked. He stayed in his position on the ground, not moving another bone in his body.

"Watcher's Lair. I recognize it from when I was caught messing around earlier." I replied. [little earlier than the first chapter. they didn't know he was an admin and didnt use the ropes for precaution]

"Ah. Well, we're in a bit of a predicament, aren't we?" Xisuma stared straight at the ceiling.

"Mhm." I can already feel my magic draining. It was slow, but still draining. I'd estimate I have 7 hours left until I die. Unless they're taken off, of course.

"Why am I so tired?" He just sounded tired. That's not a good thing.

"Look at your wrists." Xisuma finally moved, bringing his hands in front of his face.

"O-oh." He looked over to me, confirming that I have them on too. "Do they not know that could kill you?" I shrugged.

" I think they do, but just don't care."

"Huh." Xisuma looked back up and stared at the ceiling once again. We sat in silence for a few minutes. I thought about my future. Would we be stuck here forever? Would we escape? What will happen? Did the Hermits and admins notice we were gone?

A loud bang startled me out of my thoughts. Both of us flinched and looked towards the door of the cell.

A Watcher unlocked the door of this dark cell, looking down at us. His white mask hid his eyes, and his lips showed no emotion. He stepped towards me, grabbing the front part of my shirt. He pulled me up, not gently at all. Another Watcher walked in, this time female, and grabbed Xisuma. They forcefully pushed us out of the cell. Both Xisuma and I didn't say anything as we stumbled forward.
