Jacob was still waiting for Amy near the bed. He stood still, watching her breath. Then the door opened.

"Heya Jacob," Jared said happily. He was in a great mood, for everything was finally going to order. He went over to Amy, asked Jacob if she had been talking, or sleeping most of the time.

"Both, I guess," Jacob said, shrugging. He explained to him that Amy had spoken to him a few times, but she was often too tired to speak. So when she felt like it, she fell asleep.

"She's doing better, I can tell," Jared said, examining her. He could onky assume she'd be off the bed in a few days, 4 at most.

"So she's practically back to normal?"

"Yeah. She's just tired and all. When she's off the bed, make sure she gets rest." Jared quickly scribbled in his clipboard, before waving Jacob off. He opened the door, and left.

"Do you hear that, Amy?" Jacob whispered, "you're gonna be okay."

Amy turned to the other side of the bed, she was still sleeping, but she gets restless sometimes, Jacob noticed. He wondered if the nightmares were coming to her, of the fire bird.

If he had been honest, he was also having those nightmares. Could it mean something?

Serena took a deep breath, before opening the door to the building. Today was her first day at work, after the firing of course. She had been shaky to come, and she had been sweating the whole time just by walking there.

She went to the lobby, and saw Penni again. Why is she always here? She thought to herself. She gave a wave to her, and asked Penni how she was doing.

Penni, confused by this kindness, waved back. "Hey, Serena. I'm doing fine, you?"

"Good," she replied.

"Are you looking for something, or someone?" Penni asked warily. She didn't expect her to come again, for she thought she was dangerous material. If Noor had fired her before, she surely wasn't someone to be messed with.

"Yeah, but I know my way, thanks." She then made her way to the elevator.

Thanks? Penni thought in disbelief. She had never heard Serena ever say thanks to anyone! Something was up.

Serena knocked on the door, waiting for someone to open.

Then someone opened, but when she saw who it was, her face scrunched up.

"You?!" Cole almost yelled in disbelief. He didn't open the door fully, so Serena couldn't enter. He whispered to her, asked her what the hell she was doing, and to get the fuck out.

"Noor said I could come," she hissed. "Now open the door, you dick."

"Not on the hair of my chinny chin chin," he hissed back.

She snarled, and he snarled too. It was obvious these two hated eachother. Serena had to stop tempting herself not to murder Cole. She took a deep breath, and said quietly, "Just open the god damn door, Cole."

"Is there a problem, Cole?" she heard a voice. She sighed in relief, for Serena knew who it was exaclty.

"Yyeahh, uh," Cole hesitated. He opened the door alittle more, and told her the problem.

"Let her come in," Noor said, in the middle of what he was saying.

"But Noor-"

"Just let her in. She's changed," Noor said, opening the door fully, and allowing Serena in. She gave a nod, and Serena warily walked in.
