Woth Jacob gone, life seemed to Amy more like a blur. She didn't enjoy life anymore, and even if she did, it seemed like only for a small moment. Most of the time, she would just go over and look at Jacob's ashes, and cry.

On days where she saw Amber watching the dome, she would go out. By now she opened the entrance from the dome to the other world easily, but there were lots of people always trying to stop her, especially after the incident (that's how they wanted to call Jacob's unfortunate situation.

Morgan tugged her on the arm. "Miss, do you really want to go out especially after the incident?" He said the word incident with a hint of sadness. He let his grip on May soften, so that if she wanted she could break free.

Which is what she did. She said with a hint of a smile, "I'm gonna be fine. I can look after myself. You've got to trust me," she opened the door a little more, and entered the Second World. Sh turned around to see Morgan, who had a hint of sadness on his face, before slowly walking away.

Amber greeted her in joy. She gave a necklace around her neck, so that they could communicate. She was pleased to see her doing so well after that event, and she said so. She then offered Amy for a ride around the world, and to show her territories.

Amy nodded, and said thanks. Amber had her flames on, and she slowly cooled them off, before lowering her neck so that Amy could get on. Amy grabbed whole to her neck, and then hoisted herself up, she felt dizzy, but she held tight. "You better be careful," she said, still holding tight.

Amber laughed and said she would. Before they officially went for take-off, one of the deer were grazing, and the fawn was hiding. At least she had thought, because he beasts then went in for the kill. They fed their offspring, blood on their muzzles.

Amy looked to Amber, "Why didn't you do anything?"

Amber looked to her, as if it were the stupidest question of all. She replied that it was life, and that in life, creatures would need to compete.

"But you said you're the Guardian. If you don't intervene to help a helpless fawn, what do you even do?" Amy asked. She realized the rudeness in her voice, and said sorry.

Amber waved it off, and replied to her question. She said that as a Guardian, her job was to look and focus on her territory. To see which creatures are doing well, and which were not, and if not, to help them get back on track. "And to also make sure that no evil comes in," she said to her, she explained that was the reason exactly as to why she didn't like humans at first.

Amber had assumed humans were trouble. She noticed that humans, especially Helen and Jacob, often came into her area, and started to kill her creatures. At first she was angry, and she wanted to do something, but then she tried to reason herself. She remembered that the humans, although safe in their fome, and zero to no wildlife, except for some domesticated animals and such.

For that, she remained passive, thought it hurt her to do nothing. But when she realized that they came way too often than they should have, she decided to do something.

Amy quickly said sorry for their actions and she remained sincere. She hugged Amber, "You're a great Guardian, I hope you know."

Amber laughed, but was happy of her remark. "Thanks, Amy. Although you should check out my sister, Ember. She has been doing her job for years, and it shows."

They spent time like that over the few days, and it made the people curious. Why was a girl so young going into the Second World like to was nothing, especially since her lover died? To them, it made no sense. Almost everyone in the dome were too scared to set foot on that world, so they didn't know why Amy had the balls to do it.
