Jacob sighed, as he could feeling the glowing, the power growing more intense inside him. The creatures came to him closely, watching him. The bird put her head up high, still examining. She knew something bad was going to come out of it, and she could see him in distress. She let out a melodious cry, a song. She was hoping to also draw Amy's attention, since they are both good friends.

Amy was sulking in her room. She felt horrible for yelling at Jacob, but a voice in her head kept telling her he deserved it. He lied to her. He clearly told her that the rock was destroyed, he did it himself. But then, why was it pocketed in his hands?

She knew Jacob wasn't a bad oerson, there had to be a reason. Perhaps it was the deception the rock gave off? She knew this well because the rock, when she wanted to throw it away, had a sense to make her not move a muscle. As if paralyzed. And she could never bring herself to do it.

Yes, she thought, it must be that. Deception. She wiped away the ears still forming. For her whole life, she saw Jacob as just a friend. Someone who meant a lot for her, but not too much. But over the few weeks, her affection for Jacob turned into more. She loved him, she discovered, and not just as a friend.

But she had just been rude to him, and now what woukd happen? Their relationship had been broken into pieces, like a glass that fell from high up a building. It wouldn't be mendable. Or could it?

She heard the melodious cry, that soon turned into a song. She looked out of her window, wiping her eyes to see more clearly. People were coming out of their homes, looking out in awe, some murmuring to one another. She knew who it was coming from. "Amber," she exclaimed. She quickly went out of her room, and into the l9bby. Then opened the door, looking out to he Second World.

"It's so lovely," she heard one of the passerby breathe. Another person almost immediately agreed, giving their rounds of compliments.

Amy pushed her way through the crowd. The moon was full, the stars shining bright. She noticed the bird, Amber perched up in her nest, making the beautiful sounds. Then she noticed Jacob, struggling to keep his angry emotions at bay.

She knew what was going to happen, Jacob was going to hurt himself just as she had. He was bending over his limits, that he so carelessly covered. He was either going to end up in bed, just like she had, which seemed unlikely to her. Or, e was going to end up dead, which was in much serious terms.

She quickly glanced around, and saw Noor, with a hand to her mouth. "What was he thinking? He's going to get himself killed, the bird, she's going to kill him!"

Amy cried out, "Open the door, I need to go. Please."

Noor looked to her, and obeyed. "Be safe," she said, her hands shaking, and her voice seemed like it was choking on itself.

Amy gave a small nod, before entering the Second World. She caught a glimpse of Jacob, and called him. He looked to her, with his eyes bright, and a wide smile.

"Amy," he breathed. He struggled to get to her, but then stopped. "No, don't come near me."

"I'm not mad at you," she heard herself saying. But she knew it was true, she loved him took much to even feel hatred for him.  He had always been there for her when any misfortune arrived, and was the one always holding her hand, telling her she'll be okay. Her friends did this, yes, but in her mind, she thought Jacob did it better. Whenever he spoke, his voice became soft, and it seemed the whole world was stopping through time.

She loved Jacob's company, and didn't t know what she would do without it.

"It's not that," he responded, he was a little shocked, because he hought she was still angry at him. "I can feel the power trying to come out of my body. I'm not safe, Amy. Stay away."
