Morgan showed the dome blueprints, he slapped them on the table. He looked proudly at the dome, then turned to Noor, who was taking head of the engineers.
"So what do you think," he asked, looking at the blueprints happily.

Noor, who was sitting patiently, got up. She went to the table and stared at the blueprints. "They are quite fine to me. The question is how to build them?" The engineers nodded in unison. "And also, the dome must cover the whole city, yes?"

Morgan nodded. "We, the scientists and I will offer you some building material. There is this special glass we have, it doesn't shatter or break, yet its not indestructible. The dome could be built by this." He tapped on his blueprint, traced the outlines of the dome.

Noor looked to the engineers, to see their input. They showed none. She turned back to Morgan. "Just as well. We need to start the project soon. What's your estimate on how long it will take?" She looked up to him.

"About 4 days or so, with additional help it could turn to 2 days." He gave an ensuring smile. "You engineers are bright, I'm sure you will manage just fine."

Noor shook her head. "We might manage, but the heatwave will not. If it strikes again and kills all the humans? We can't risk it, Morgan. We will need more help. We can start today though. When will the materials be ready?" She was serious and determined. She wasn't going to lose more people. No sir.

Morgan replied that the materials would be ready today, at the latest tomorrow. He went away and went to go see his scientist buddies. Which left Noor and the engineers at their HQ.

Noor looked out to the window and invisioned the dome, vieling over the city. It would be like the humans were trapped, enslaved. Like a fish in a bowl. A bird in a cage. Helpless. Things would never be the same. Things will never be the same.

She didn't expect kids to be playing out in the sun anymore. She didn't expect people to come and visit places all around the world anymore. She didn't expect to have children of her own, who she had always wanted to have and make memories with. She didn't expect the world to be like this. If hell was a world, it could definentlely  be this one.

She turned from the window. "Lets get to work."

Serena, one of the engineers, objected. "We can't Noor. What Morgan is asking of us is technically impossible. What is this glass, strong but not indestructable? We're humans Noor, not magicians."

Noor gave her a stern look. She always knew Serena as the one to always object. She had always objected every idea Noor had. And their boss would almost always agree with her, which made her really angry. Serena loved getting on her nerves, but Noor would not allow that to happen.

She took a deep breath through the nose, and then replied. "Very well, Serena. But I want you to remember that we're in the state of impossible. Look at this heatwave, would you really wish to risk it? How much possible is there in impossible? We can only try," she turned to the other engineers who had agreed.

Serena gave a pissed-of huff. "Whatever." She then crossed her arms, asked Noor what her plan was.

Noor smiled, and looked to the engineers. She pointed to the blueprints, she loved being on charge. "Here's what we're gonna do.."

"What glass do you need," Julian asked. He gave Morgan a look. He wasn't fond of his crazy antics, he disapproved of them completely. So, why would he give him the glass? When he was so sure, so sure that it would be a complete waste. He and his lover Diana made the glass together, was he really going to allow Morgan, crazy Morgan, to take it?

"You know exactly what glass I need," he huffed. "Please get it quickly, I'm not sure how much time we have left. Noor and the rest need to start building." He looked out to the door, and then quickly looked back to Julian. "Do you understand how serious this is? Please." He knew Julian didn't like him, he knew he wouldn't budge, giving me precious glass. He begged however.
