Today was the day.

Serena looked at herself in the mirror, adjusting her fury red hair. She smiled as she applied some lipstick, thinking to herself the fate of Noor.

The phone rang, and with ease, she took it. She put the phone to her ear, and said hello. She had a feeling it was Helen, and since they had become good friends, she was happy to come to her call. She was hoping it was about her plan.

"Uh, yeah. Hi," the voice replied. She figured this wasn't Helen, and she frowned.

"Hello, uh. Well-" she hesitated. She didn't know who it was, and the voice very well knew. But something told her she did recognize it, but she couldn't hold her finger on it.

"Well, don't you recognize me?"

"No," she admitted. She tapped the phone with her long nails, against the phone case.

"You should have," the voice said, unconvinced. Then it asked her to check the number, and surely, it hoped, she would recognize it.

She did so, impatiently. Then, when she saw the number, she gasped. It couldn't be! And if it was, how when she not know? "Cole?" she breathed, happily.

"Took you long," he snorted. Then, abruptly, he apologized. "Me and Noor, we've been talking about you know, what happened." There was a pause for a long moment, and they both held their breath. Then he continued, "We're sorry of how we treated you. But it wasn't entirely our fault-" he gave a nervous laugh and continued, "-we just want you to change with the negativity and all that. We need hopes sometimes, in order for us to succeed."

She didn't breath. What she was really hoping for, wasn't happening. She asked, "Is that all?"

"What? You wanted more of an apology?"

"You're not gonna come and be with me again?" she asked, her voice stern and hurt.

"Oh come on," he groaned. "I wanted to be nice to you, and you bring that up?"

"What's so obnoxious about it?" she snapped. And all of a sudden, she hurled all her insults that she had kept why her throughout the years. The hurt, the pain in her.

She and Cole dated before, as we know. But what we didn't know was that Cole and her were also engaged. It was a beautiful moonlight at a park, when Cole had proposed to her. She was so happy, and the couple lived in complete happiness for those periods. Until she figured out that Cole had an eye for another girl too, but it wasn't Noor, it was her very own sister, Ciara.

Hurt by knowing this, they got into a fight, which didn't end well. Cole told her that he was sick of all this, that before he did love her, but now he knew she was a jealous  woman, and love would never bestow in her. Although she kept yelling, sayig that he was a dick and all, he refused, saying that he never loved Ciara at all. Serena, with tears in her eyes, told him to get out. He did so, without hesitation.

It hurt even more, when she was driving in her car, going home after a horrible work day. She decided to go and take a stop at the bar and take a swig. She arrived at the bar, feeling upset and already pissed off. But when she saw Cole and Ciara together, embracing, she knew he had drawn the line. She went up to him, and with no hesitation, slapped him and hurled a ton of insults.

She would never forget that day.

Maybe that was why she was full of hate and negativity. Maybe because love for her, was never found and even if so, was quickly disposed. All this hurt was fuelled in her, and she took it out on anyone who was happy and positive. Because she was once too, positive. Now only hate swelled in her, and would forever live.
