Yoshio was upset.

“He never grows up, when will he learn?” he blurted out after learning from Diana that Barry was again in Norway.

“He made sure that everything is in order before he leaves and that he is very accessible”

“who attends his meetings?”

“He delegates his VPs accordingly”

“That is what I am talking about. He is not that hands on and rely too much on his people. This is not how a business should be run, he should be on top of everything.”

Diana wanted to explain, but let Mr. Yoshio talks.  The management of the father and son are extremely different. The older man was very hands on while the son was strategic and knows how to delegate. If she is going to be asked, when the Kugimiya empire was being built, the style of Mr. Yoshio is very applicable. However, when Barry took over, the business conglomerates were already built and established. Barry also handles and brings in his existing businesses, hence delegation is a must. Diana believes that Barry was able to appoint his people properly.

“Let me know if he returns” and Yoshio drops the call.

Mae Kaew comes just in time and brought down the daily maintenance medicines of her husband besides the table of his personal office.

“why are you so stressed too early in the morning?”

“That girl is not a good influence to your son.”

“We need to meet the girl?” said Barry’s mother.

“HAH! Your son is to proud and rebellious to introduce that woman to us”

“That is the reason why, the more we need to know her. To answer our question on why is he keeps on returning to her.”

“That girl obviously just wants some money”

“We have not yet meet her”

“She took the money I gave her and went away. That speaks a lot. She returned because she might be running out of money”

Mae Kaew refused to add more fuel to Yoshio’s rant. She is intrigued by the girl… and learned that her name is Urassaya…

Barry was not the same when the girl left. He became distant, she knows her son. Focused and disciplined but for the past five years, she observes that his son is like leaving in another world or dimension. She tried to match him to the daughters of their family friends but were constantly refused by Barry. No amount of persuasion happens, either he will not appear on the date she sets or leaves the country for a time. When she and her husband learned that Barry is dating the daughter of their friend Ambassador Minaere, Iris. She was overly delighted. She believed during that time that she was going to have a blue blooded lawyer and very beautiful would be daughter in law. But for some unknown reason, Barry’s feet turned cold.

She has seen Barry’s change in demeanor only to find out that she’s been seeing that girl again. His relationship with his father although transactional was better when she left that woman.  But right now, he barely spoke to his father and it is becoming distant just like before. as a mother and wife, this hurts her more, the men in her life are not in good terms.

And for this reason, she has ill feelings towards the girl. But for her son’s sake, she wanted to know her before she fully hates her.

At first, she and her husband thought the girl was just kept by his son as an obligation to his Uncle Hugh’s last wishes. Then later on kept her as mistress. When they’ve learned that the girl was pregnant, Yoshio tested the girl and offered her money. She was not surprised when she gets the money and run away. In their eyes, the true intention of the girl was revealed. If they need to pay her again, she will. She can sell all her heirlooms and diamonds just to get her family back.

Yaya saw in Barry’s eyes his tiredness, he is coming back and forth at least thrice a month from Bangkok to Norway. But his son was oblivious about the exhaustion of his father. Barry plays with his son, sometimes rough like biking in the mud or playing balls in the sand because according to Barry that is how boys play. She just shakes her head.

She can’t forget the first time she introduced Barry to their son, Henry cried and embraced his father.  She thought her son will look for his father when he is older, she never knew that at an early age Henry misses for his father. Barry’s reaction was priceless as well. On that very day, both father and son can’t be separated.

They are again re-kindling their relationship, But this time only different, they now have a son that binds them. From the looks of it she thinks theirs is more sweeter the second time.

They are now in her bedroom, he let Barry use hers and sleep besides her step mother while Barry stays in Norway.  “Henry, why don’t you let daddy sleep for awhile, he’s traveled long and besides you still need to shower before our dinner.”

Henry looks at his father and expecting him to say otherwise.

Barry was never torn in his life for just a simple decision. He looks at his son then at Yaya who now crosses her arms and looking determined to impose her decision.

“sorry son, your mommy is right. Go take your bath, then we will have our dinner together.”

Henry immediately said yes,  kisses her father and runaway to complete his task.

Barry stood up as he sees his son run towards the other bedroom.

Yaya was about to turn around when Barry got hold of her waist. “and where do you think you’re going?”

“I’ll prepare our dinner” 

“I thought you want us to sleep?”

“I said .. YOU sleep”

“That’s not how I heard it..”

“You must be really tired, your hearing now is affected go sleep babe, you really look tired.”

Yaya suddenly shouted, she was surprised, Henry carried her and put her to bed.

He held her steadily and look at her intently to her eyes.

“I missed you, so much” and kisses her forehead.

“I do too” she answered back.

“Babe, you’ve got dark circles here, sleep please”  and draw some circles on his eyes.

“Okay, in one condition. Just be here until I sleep”

Yaya smiled and nods. “Now I really get it, Henry got this from you”

Barry chuckles as he settles and breathes at Yaya’s neck. Yaya then gently massage Barry’s hair. Barry’s arm encircled Yaya’s waist. There is no way for her to get up with him holding her like this. She just smiled and thought this is the place she wants to be.  with him now by her side she now feels complete. She can give up everything just to complete and have her family back.
