Chapter 8: Conversations

"Does Kris know that you're out here?" Ralsei asked, looking up from the stuff he brought hours ago.

"Uh, n-no?" Susie responded. Lancer gripped her hand with both of his.

"Maybe, next time, tell him or someone else when you're about to sneak out, okay?" He spoke up.

"Heh, then i-it wouldn't really b-be sneaking out, would it?" They laughed, just a little.

(Lol, totally not going out of the storyline I planned! (A/N))

The pain she had mentioned earlier worsened a bit, making her grasp her eye slightly and jerk forward a little. She groaned, not too loud, but just enough that they could hear.

"Uhm, did you even take ANY of the medicine I gave you?!?!" Ralsei directed the question at Susie.

"I... No..." She looked away a bit and crossed her legs.

"Wow. That explains alot!"

"Why, did I HAVE to take it? What's going on here?!?!" She faced towards the boys, slightly annoyed.

"Not really seriously, but it would have helped quite a bit. For one, it would not hurt that much, as it does now!" Ralsei also became annoyed, very much annoyed.

"Okay, so why are you on my case about it again?"

"Because as a friend, I worry for you!"

"Fine, fine!" She agreed, "don't gotta be like my mom never was..." She made the last part a whisper so that they could barely hear it, but Ralsei picked up the words a different way,

"Well I think I kinda have t- wait, what?" He had the sudden realization.

"You know what? Just, nevermind!"

Back with Kris...

No one was at all confused by his statement. Kris had talked about the darkworld enough times for Toriel to believe the child, and they told everyone at school multiple times. There was no way they were lying! If it made the supposed 'mean girl' to become close friends with little ol' Krissy (A/N cue the cringe! 😖!), then of course it was real!

"But, she knows it's too dangerous, though. She could die, become close to, or, something else could happen! Wait, Susie's always been kinda dangerous, anyways. Just nature, I guess..." Kris shrugged.

"Yeah, but. Let's still take that chance, okay? It's a likely possibility!" Noelle suggested.

"Yes, and, who did you say that she was also quite close to? Lansei, was it?" Toriel joined.

"Um, close. It was lancer. Ralsei is the other one that I'm close to, and it's a good chance! I'll go see, and bring her back if I find her!" Kris corrected and posed heroically. The girls laughed as he ran out of the house.

"Safe travels!" They yelled after him.

"Sooo... What are we going to do now?" Noelle asked.

"Are you thinking what I am thinking...?"

"Girls' movie night!" They said in unison and waited excitedly.

In the darkworld, things weren't looking too good...

Susie was about to admit that it was getting a little harder to breath than usual, when the worst outcome of that happened. It was impossible to breath now!

(Cue the cringe again! Idk why I'm writing this! Tell me if you think it's okay! First time writing on this app, lol!)

Her voice was hoarse and way too raspy to hear. Though she was wheezing they didn't know if she was breathing or not. Then she started a coughing fit, they knew that she wasn't breathing NOW!

"Susie? Are you okay?! Can you even breathe?!?!" Ralsei questioned immediately after he noticed, "can you, like, write it down or something?!?!"

The monster nodding that she was okay, obviously a lie. It hurt too much to breathe, not leaving her to do much and barely able to grasp anything, either.

A few seconds later, it was all over. The pain stopped, just like that. She cleared her throat, replying to the question asked long before,

"I'm fine..."

"No. Your. Not!" Ralsei exclaimed, trying to calm down a bit, "All that you are doing is hurting yourself and I don't wanna stand for it! Let me help, even just a little! Please?"

"Fine, just, not too much, okay?"

"Lancer, are you alright?" She directed at him.

"I... I just want you to be okay..." He said, walking up and crawling onto her lap. He wore a sad expression, of pity and a hint of guilt.

"I'll be fine! I just, need a little while to do that! I won't be like this forever (hopefully)"

"Okay. Can we just, stay here for a minute?"

"Heh, sure, Lancer." With that, they all fell asleep.

About an hour later, Ralsei's phone rang loudly, his ringtone being the song 'castle town'. After a minute, he was fully awake and answered the call.

"Ralsei, how can I help?" He answered, tiredly.

"Hey, Ral!" Kris panted on the other side. Yes, they had found out how to work their cellphones in the darkworld, but only there. They didn't work interdimensionally, so Kris was obviously in the darkworld somewhere.

"Are you looking for Susie by any chance?" Ralsei smirked, trying to let the other two sleep a little bit longer. Well, that plan blew when they both woke up, lancer still on top of Susie.

"Yes! How did you guess?"

"Well, she's here by lancer's castle and I thought if you were here, you were looking for her."

"Oh, okay! Thanks. Can I talk to her? I only need a minute!"

"Uh, sure! Susie, Kris wants to speak with you!" Ralsei had walked off while talking, so ran back from the tree he ended up underneath.

"Great... Just great..." She said sarcastically while taking the phone.

"'Sup?"

"Susie, you know exactly what's ''sup'! Why did you sneak out?!?! I've been looking for you! Where exactly are you? You could have died!" The other end shouted, making her take the phone away from her ear and close her eyes until it was over.

"Woah, dude! I would not have just died! You know that!"

"But, your conditio-"

"I don't care! I am fine! No arguing!"

Kris sighed, "Fine... But you'd better be okay when I get to you! Your at Lancer's castle, yeah? I'll be right there."

"Heh, see ya, Kris!"

Kris hung up and started making his way to card castle...

I promised a long chapter, so here it is! I probably won't write much for a while (because it's almost Christmas), but I'll try to atleast get one update every couple days! School will start back up soon after that and, yeah! I'll be pretty busy for awhile! Wow! Over 1000 words and 50+ views?!?! Sorry for so many A/Ns, but hope that you enjoyed anyways! I think that I might start a new story or maybe 2, but they will probably be Undertale shipping (maybe an actual lansie book, though). Don't worry, I won't forget about this book and have alot of ideas goin'! Merry Christmas and happy new years, everyone!
