"Oh, dear. Sans, perhaps you should sit down for this?" Toriel suggested while motioning to a chair in the livingroom.

"uh, why?" Sans asked, confusion clear in his voice.

"Uh, you'll see..." Noelle shyly yet sadly guided him to the chair.

Sans sat down. Noelle and toriel sat down in the remaining seats, the ones they had sat in before Sans arrived.

"Where to even begin?" Toriel asked herself, "Well, Susie has lost both of her parents, basically. Her mother when she was too young to remember much, and her father to jail for child abuse. The trial has not happened yet, but I am sure it will soon. She was the one to turn him in. After those events, she returned home and broke apart her soul for reasons unknown to us."

Noelle joined in, "Uh huh. And her right eyes been hurting, right? She stayed over here for a week and we think the other night, she snuck out!"

"oh, wow... y'know, i think i know how the kid feels, even just a little..." Sans stated.

"How is that, Sans?" Toriel asked, looking over to the small skeleton.

"uh, well... her kinda life-story-thing? it kinda reminds me of my own life. back then, atleast..."

"Do you mind explaining it? It may help you feel better!"

"so, y'know how i've never mentioned parents before...?"

"Yes, I am aware of that."

"well, that's because something similar happened with mine. i lost my mom at a young age, actually maybe just a few months after papyrus was born. my dad never made much time for us, so i had to look after my brother and myself. one day, when my brother was only 2, my dad got in an accident at his job and passed on, so... heh! that's how we became homeless for a few years!" Sans explained, sounding not at all bothered by these facts.

"Oh, my! Sans, I am very sorry to hear that." Toriel sadly stated.

"Yeah! How old were you at the time? How much older than your brother, Papyrus, guessing?" Noelle gathered the courage to speak after the news.

"uh, i'm just around 6 years older than papyrus, and i was almost 8 when we became homeless. but enough about me. what's up? where are the kids now?"

"Wait, what?!?! You weren't even 8 yet?!?!" Noelle stood up.

"nope."

"That's... That's terrible! But, I get if you don't wanna talk about it. Kris went to find Susie so we're not exactly sure where they are."

Toriel stood up and put a paw on Sans' shoulder from behind, "He went to the darkworld to look first! Their phones do not work interdimensionally, so we cannot call them. I have already tried to make sure..."

"the darkworld, huh? i remember somethin' about that. when we do find 'em, though, one of my main objectives is to get her phone number!" He mumbled the last bit, though it was still audible and clearly heard.

Noelle and Toriel stared at Sans in confusion.

"what? i wanna keep in touch!"

"Well, that was... Random?" Noelle and Toriel said.

"yeah, i know! i'm a pretty random dude, but, anyways, let's just wait for them. if kris left yesterday, then it should be going alright if they aren't back yet. he probably found susie and is on his way back. if not, then why would he still be out?"

Toriel looked at the clock and then up at the roof, with a serious yet gentle look on her face. It was about 11 am, "Let us hope so..."
